Is FM6 installed to the internal drive or an external? I know the exact problem you are describing as it happened to me when I put FM5 on an external HDD.
No the track should be well lit at both those tracks.
Also, it wouldn’t make the entire screen go dark for five seconds an then return. If there were no lights it would be dark for until either a car with headlights appeared or he returned to a portion of the track with lights. I’m not saying that isn’t possible in FM6, I’m just saying that’s not the case at the two tracks he described.
Sound like your Xbox ran out of pixels. You’ll need to buy a bag from your local game shop, then you pour them into the disc tray to refill it.
If they don’t have pixels, just shove a bag of sand in there, mixed with two parts concrete and water. That’ll sort it.
Yeah the game is installed on an external hd 7200. The only thing I could think of is my HD is going out as I have seen HUGE loading improvement times in every game which tells me the HD is being read a lot faster. Basically I just want to run down the issue because it did cost me a huge wreck in an organized hour and half long race, granted stuff happens I just don’t want to end up with my box going out unexpectedly
My external is about 2 months old, so maybe I need to prepare to buy a new xbox.
Don’t prepare for the worst until you’ve narrowed down the problem. Move FM6 to your internal and see if you can duplicate it. I use a WD Passport and FM5/Horizon2/FM6 simply will not run properly on it. I get the exact problem you described as if the game is calling for game assets that aren’t loaded into the VRAM but the HDD can’t access fast enough. All other games have shown improved load times off the passport but for some reason Forza chooses not to.
