Xbox One Performance with Forza Horizon 5

so, my question is:
how will the xbox one consoles perform with Forza Horizon 5?
Will it lag alot?
Will it crash?
Are the graphics going to be bad?

I second this :ok_hand: but i think it will be fine as there us still a lot of people with Xbox one’s

They have said that they will be releasing some gameplay video content from the One consoles before launch.

let me start by saying that i’m really looking forward to fh5 even though at first i was bit skeptical but seeing as instead of just adding more cars and calling it a day you guys at playground games decided to update the older car models and sounds and even more customisation but i digress, one thing that worries me is that until now no footage was shown on the old gen consoles not even the ONE X and as a ownner of an XBOX ONE FAT it scares even more. Recently i watched a video were there was a poll about which console will you play at and the majority of that poll was answered with the original xbox one or one s(althought i consider that with a grain of salt since the scope of that poll was very small).

i hope you guys at playground games are optmazing the game for the last gen because i won’t be able to afford a SERIES X any time soon with the hole scarcity of it and along with scalpers ruining
everything for everyone and i don’t plan on buying a SERIES S and lose all my physical media games so the only thing i hope is that fh5 on xbox one doesn’t become like fh2 on x360,so please playground games show us some footage on the old gen consoles and even better on the base xbox one that’s all i ask

So the game went gold and is available for preload on all platforms.

Why don’t we have XBone / S / X gameplay yet?

I could understand if there was polishing to do… but the game is finished…

They sell the game on it being shiny, they want customers to continue dreaming and buy. It would be counterproductive for them to expose less rich visuals. Anyway, we all know youtube will fill with videos comparing quality loading times etc on all possible platforms within hours after pre-release of the game.

Your thoughts here don’t line up with Playground’s … because they’ve already told us that they will be providing XBox One gameplay video before launch day.

I’m expecting the One X to be basically the same as Series S with graphics. I’m fairly certain FH5 will look at least slightly better on original X1 than FH4.

I expect the One S version will perform about the same as past Horizon games, so you’ll likely still encounter the good old world-pauses-at-high-speed bug that we’ve had since Horizon 2, but all around it’ll still be consistent. It’s not like Horizon 5 is THAT big of an upgrade over Horizon 4.

That’s a hard drive bug. Get an external hard drive to fix it. Although the One S will not really be good enough for FH5.

Never had it on One X or PC anyway, so as far as I’m concerned it’s a One S issue. But if it is fixable, all the better.

Upgraded my tv and xbox just for FH5. I’m not making the same mistake I made with FH2 on the 360!

Not to be rude but how did you make this mistake? It was clear WAY before release it was running on the FH1 engine, entirely developed by another studio (as in, completely by Sumo Digital) which si shown here from polygon in June 2015:

It was obvious then it would lack detail/features, as shown off finally here in this video before the games release…albeit, cutting it a bit fine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hP1RA8hLt1Q&lc=UgjB3zBVnpu85HgCoAEC

With FH5 It will not feature any less of the same content or features, it will just not feature RTX, have long load times, lower resolution, lower graphical details and possibly slightly quieter engine audio.

I made the mistake by not doing any research into the game at the time. I remember buying it then rushing home to play it. Needless to say the following week I’d upgraded to an Xbox One ha!

All i can say is that FH4 is X/S enhanced and playing that on my 1080p TV on the Series S it is graphically inferior to the visual offering of the Xbox One X at 1080p. So i am expecting the One X to be very capable of running FH5.

So, i saw a guy today doing FH5 videos with and Xbox One S. And i was impressed, because it almost looked like the Series S performance mode.
Also, the tire smoke almost looks like the Xbox Series X’s smoke.
The car sounds just sound like the XBSX.
The graphics are very nice, no lag, the textures are beautiful and that’s it.
