I’m just posting to see if anyone has any news on if Horizon 5 will be like Horizon 2, where the game will be very different (not just in graphics) between the two consoles. If it is that just means I have to update to a Series X/S before I get the game!
Ok, so it will most likely be the same game across the two platforms, awesome, do you think it would be available on any system if you buy it digitally? (Like how fh4 is bought on both pc and xbox one when purchased digitally)
I was thinking more along the lines of crossplay, like with how Horizon 2 was an entirely separate game on 360 than on xbox one. Appreciate the input though!
First question: Seems to be a Play Anywhere title yes…I pre-ordered it via my Xbox yesterday and, having just checked on my PC in MS Store, it is showing as “owned” and displays the XBox and PC symbols.
Second question: Crossplay should be available on all platforms much like Horizon 4 currently is as I can’t see them changing that. It’ll be the same as with 4 and the difference between the game on an XB1 and SX…having played on both versions recently, only real differences to note is better graphics on the SX and ability to skip intro stuff when loading game
There’s also cross-progression so if you played the game on XB1 then bought an XBS console your save would carry over too, just like it does right now between PC and XB1.
