Yesterday I went to play Horizon on my Xbox One and for some reason the game starting Syncing data. I haven’t played Forza offline or any other Xbox so didn’t really see why it would sync but anywho, It wouldn’t download and still wont today. I have tried clearing system cache, deleting local storage, power cycling the xbox and all this and still no luck. I even tried starting Forza Horizon on my brothers Xbox to see what would happen and Syncing still too very long and didn’t work. Today Horizon has synced to 100 percent but always says failed and makes a new game. Any idea what has happened to my save and if i can recover it?
I have spent a lot of time and effort on Forza Horizon and would be devastated if I have lost it all!
I had same issue, it will take a few hours to sync, so just be patient. The green bar on the sync. screen wont show up for an hour or thereabouts which was convincing me it wasn’t working. Bottom line start the sync. and go get on the mrs for a while coz you wont be gaming for a few hours.
There are ton’s of threads on this…did you look? be patient it may sit on 100% for over an hour…but it’s not frozen so leave it alone and let it finish
Never interfere with a sync unless a pop up message appears.
If the xbox does not complain leave it.
I lfet mine overnight in FM5 when I got a new console and I know someone else on the forums went out for 3-4 hours with FH2 and when they came back it was in the game as per before.
I like to make note of my game save file size when I’m done playing, especially when I know I will be going to my second console. I’ve had the game take as long as two hours to sync with no previous file present. It’s a relatively large file and it may take a long time. Just let it do it’s thing and wait.
Try exiting the game totally, sign out of Xbox Live entirely.
Then hold the Big X button on your console down until the system shuts down. Disconnect the wall side cord from either the wall socket or the wall-side of the external power pack. Wait about three minutes, plug in the electricity again, then start your console as you normally would.
Mine isn’t even looking for a cloud save, it cuts straight into the first cutscene when you first start the game. Haven’t played for a couple of months and felt like a little jaunt this morning. Annoyed+
Well, I left the cloud save downloading over night, it got to 100 percent but loaded a brand new save meaning my previous game save has gone completely. Annoyed doesn’t start to begin how I feel. Loads of hours spent in this game.
Can I just ask if anything out of the usual happened beforeprior to you getting th sync issues eg:
Did you delete your profile/gamertag to troubleshoot something else?
Did you go to a mates place to play on your profile?
Did you delete your saved game for any reason?
Have you replaced your console with a new one?
Has your internet cut out during a gaming session?
