Good morning/afternoon. On Sunday, I started up FH2 and the syncing data screen popped. It stayed there for a really long time so i took the disk out and put it back in then the sync started. It asked me which save would I like to choose (newer or older.) I chose newer since both of them had to same date. Once it downloaded, the game started but… it started up into a new game. I really don’t want to have to restart the whole game because i had a countless # of hours put in to this game. IDK what to do. I contacted Microsoft but they didn’t know what to do;tweeted forza and T10 no response; now I am here lol. Can you please help me? It’s messed up because the day before which was the first, i got my forza rewards. Now i am broke with only 2 cars. And this is the only Xbox i signed on with my profile. Thanks in advance…

Wish I could say yes but no . He said there’s no way to get my save game back but he can’t replace that with money to build my garage again . But he’s not responding . This is pure bs sorry to say . And i know I’m not the only one with this problem either
I have the same problem, one hour To sync save and quem finaly finish my save lost. Start Game and have a new sAve with no cars and money. I dunno what can I do?

Update I have left the syncing going for about more then 3 hours and is now syncing with the percentage bar so if you have this problem then you just have to wait don’t click stop syncing or you will lose everything
Is at 100 percent and is just corrupted my data and now it don’t syncing at all just starts a new game

OP - unfortunately, I think you are out of luck. See, here is what happened - your game data was syncing with the cloud and while it was syncing you were not patient and you removed the disc from the console. This stopped the sync from happening. In case you need an explanation - when syncing, your old data is deleted completely and it is replaced with the current data. That’s how syncing work and that’s why it takes so long when your fle size is so large. Anyway, you interrupted the sync and so it stopped syncing.
Then the game asked you, do you want us to sync the old file you had before removing the disc or the new file we have (corrupted because you pulled the disc). You told the console to pick the new file and the sync was done quickly the file size is really small.
Unfortunately, I don’t see what you are expecting Turn 10 to help you with since this issue is user error. The least they are probably willing to do is give you a handful of credits to start your garage over. As for recovering the old file, that may not be possible.
Forza Horizon 2 (and Forza Motorsport 5, and chances are Motorsport 6) have very large file sizes. On the xbox 360 we had one file for our game progress and garage cars, one file for our paints, one file for our layer groups, and one file for our tunes for a total of 4 files for the game. On the xbox One, all these files have been combined into one - mine is currently 100.1 MB - and that takes quite a while to sync.
As I’ve always recommended; whenever you are installing a game or waiting for a sync, do not do anything else on the console and wait for it to finish 100% on its own. If it shows 100% but the sync screen or install bar is still there then it is not finished. If you wait for it to finish, there will be no problems. I play with one disc copy of the game across two different Xbox One consoles, and I follow that simple recommendation every time and I’ve never had a single issue. I know it’s tough with this instant on, instant everything, but sometimes - for the really good things - you must wait.
everytime i try to get on FH2 it wants to sync every time. so i spent 90.00$ on a game i can’t play. so the 300 plus hours i have on that game and i can’t even play it better be fix so or i want money back because this is B.S.
