When I go to play horizon 2 it goes to sync the data. I get to 25 percent and it says unable to sync from the cloud, therefore all of my saved data isn’t there and won’t let me play the game. I’ve talked to Xbox support and have done every possible thing to fix it which leads me to believe it’s on forzas end of things. I think I’m not the only one with this problem. If the issue is resolved please post to this form. Thank you everyone for your time. I really hope this gets fixed quick as I was told to reset my Xbox so now I have to download everything again. Thank you.
I’ve got exactly the same situation, but for me it doesn’t even starting syncing (showing percents), only repeatously loading… My gamesave played from March with circa 220lvl, about 320 cars, 1.800.000Kr and many, many more like my own customized and tuned cars got lost… There is the only one plus, that I was able to buy all the DLC cars for free again, but all the Forza Loyalty rewards are one time gift and finally It will be hard to earn as much money to rebuild my garage with normal races. I wanted to buy a Forza Motorsport 6, but know I’m totally pissed-off and despite to my cravings I won’t buy that…
I’ve been trying for almost 2 hours and nothing. Can’t get it to load. Same thing happened for Forza 6 but it just magically loaded. I hope I don’t have the same issues. I had well over 300 cars, almost the entire game complete, VIP member reward and over 35,000,000 in the bank. All this hard work and playing for over a year could be lost? That isn’t right! It even asked me which I would like to load and I tried my cloud save but my cloud save and local save have the same date. I know for a fact I haven’t played in over a week.
Not happy at all. I hope the T10 can do something.
It just loaded my cloud save as I was typing my last reply and quess what…all my worst fears were confirmed. Everything is GONE!!!
Thanks T10! Guess this game will be shelved or deleted better to save the 43GB drive space than just have it sit there.
In all reality, does T10 care? Probably not, they got their $100+ from me on this game, what’s in their best interest to fix it at this point?

This is obviously an emerging problem and there is a lot of people genuinly angry about it. I don’t pay 70 bucks for a game so I can’t play it. Turn 10 please figure this out because I pay good money to play on an Xbox not a ps4.
I totally agree! They have to be able to restore some sort of game save from the cloud. If RockStar can do it with GTA 5, I’m certain T10 should be able to do it too. They can look at our stats and verify it all from there and do the best known restore from today.
So mad, it’s not even funny. Feel like I’ve wasted my time playing this game.
Emerging Problem? lol, such optimism.
This problem has long since emerged, reared its ugly head, and been taunting Turn10 openly since the Xbox One first came out. This issue occurred with FM5, then with FH2, and now with FM6…
While there may be things to be done, Turn 10 doesn’t seem interested in a solution and neither does Microsoft. The issue lies with the way the Xbox One and its cloud are designed to operate and the fact that Turn10 game saves are too large for this process to adequately function. Turn10 could go to the approach of past titles with multiple save files for various game aspects and design them to all communicate together but for whatever the reasons may be they have not chosen this path.
My savegame just finally gone. it didn’t even starting syncing just I have new game… Support didn’t answered me. I’ve been playing this game for fun so maybe millions CR could satisfy me and i would be able to buy my lost cars. But all the progressperks and bonus boards gone.

I have the exact same problem too. I was playing FH2 this afternoon, then a few other games. But when I went back on to FH2 it asked me whether to sync from the cloud or the hard drive, even though I’ve never used the cloud. And for the last 3 hours it’s stuck at 99% !!! I am seriously angry and I am starting to fear for the worst. I feel like throwing my copy through a window at T10 studios.

I didn’t notice this thread when I made my post asking how big the save file is. I’m wondering if the astronomical amount of data I’m currently syncing is part of the issue
Yes, it’s very likely.
It’s also very important to properly quit these games so they can be allowed to sync with the cloud properly. This will then mitigate any issues with syncing from the cloud to the console.
Definitely. I always back out to the main screen before closing. The reason for my sync is a new console, I guess moving game data to an external is just the game files only.
