Wtcc/btcc understeer issues in fwd

Hey guys I’m having problems with with the understeer on my fwd btcc cars. The initial corner entry is good but mid corner and exit are poor compared to other people I’ve seen on the leader boards. I know throttle management is key to fwd but which ever way I go about it the results don’t seem to improve. Any tuning advice would be great
Cheers

A couple of things to consider which have worked for me on FWD cars…(1) aggressive ARBs, ex: up to 1/40, and, (2) + [positive] Toe F/R, ~+0.1/+0.1, or +0.2/+0.1. In addition, try to help getting add’l weight to rear by raising front. Then, you have the usual Rebound & Bump (lower/higher) to help with the turn-in response. One can also drop 0.5 off the front tire pressures for a touch of add’l grip. And last, the differential Decel value to help with more oversteer lower setting. I always use the Diff at 99/1-100/0

Almost forgot…if using aero, I’d go max/min on the settings.

.

try upping decal from 0% to about 10%.

It sounds like the front of the car is too soft, but without seeing your set-up it’s just speculation. Decel diff will have virtually no effect on track-out behaviour.

even springs front and back works well for fwd

I’m currently driving with the Toytoa in one series, The build is nearly stock but it has pretty decent tune on it.
I have already closed my console for the night, but I’ll open source the tune for you when I wake up.

That’s what I used on Long Beach, and only difference to Hockenheim setup is that hockenheim setup was slightly lower and stiffer

The suspension is unusually soft but it works,
Front rebound is very low so even that the car would be leaning due turning the inside front tire would have decent grip.
and the differential is very open, but it works quite well, Although it will requite bit more throttle control on sharper turn exit’s, it really helps to reduce on-power understeer.

5-7% on acceleration did 0 on deceleration

I have various tunes on my SF which are winners in races.
To kill the understeer try these settings.

Pressures 26.5/27.00
Caamber 1.0 F/0.9 R
toe- 0.1F/0.2 R
Caster 6.0

ARB/ 10.00F/30.50R
Springs- take it minus 10 to the front (so if its 350 make it 340 yeah) and plus 10 to the rear

Aero Front stock/ Rear 200

Diff 68/10 or 100/15

I’d say if you are running TCS, turn it off. makes a huge difference.
