Finalising Tune. A little help would be appreciated

Hey all,

I’m trying to finalise a tune I have been working on. I’m pretty happy with it except 2 things.

  1. It’s AWD and I’m getting Mid-Corner Understeer - I want to nurse this so I can give it more power through corners on entry and maintain that amount of throttle
  2. I want to improve overall grip but mainly fronts- Fronts are thinner than rears and fronts always hit red on the friction telemetry before rears do

Could anyone point me in the right direction.

This will be my first propa paint and tune release so I want it to be as good as possible and it also means I cant open source it. sorry.

^^To add to this I am running sport tyres. The build used to have race but when I dropped it to sport the grip loss was compensated for by more power. This proved for a faster car albeit a few tenths per lap i found

Could be diff.
Could be aero
Could be rollbars
Could be suspension.

I’d start by dropping rear aero.

cool, thanks d2d

I’ll be tweaking those parts but the car is set in a nice way at the moment, so its all about minor adjustments from here to just tighten its characteristics up i guess.

Hello,

If you want to get rid of the understeer, i would suggest two things.

Play with your front rebound by lowering it by small input of around 0.3 at a time. Don t do it too much or you will unbalance your tune. You could also play with the front bump.

Sometimes, front springs might be too soft wich will make the weight of the car push the front outside the turn. Try raising the front spring by adjustment of 10 and see if it helps.

There is a lot of factor that could cause the understeer like Dust mentionned.

Hope this can help

Cheers
