Understeer when accelerating

I’ve been driving one of my favorite cars the 93 McLaren F1 rwd homaligated, And have been trying to tune the thing. I don’t think I’ve ever really encountered this problem before. But when I’m exiting a corner and go to accelerate I get a massive amount of understeer. I’ve tried turning down the diff all the way down to 36% from 55% from stock 70% and it’s helped a bit but still not quite what I’m looking for and honestly I don’t really like having it that low in the first place. I play with no assists so I know it’s not that. Any advice?

Could be a few things.

I find for corner exit, or on throttle time, increasing the Accel setting on the diff can impart some oversteer.i usually start around 60% but sometimes end up at 90%.

For fine tuning, decreasing front rebound can improve corner exit quite a bit.

Only other thing is throttle control, playing with traction control off you could try giving it a tad more throttle on corner exit, spin the wheels slightly brings the nose around.

raise the diff decel.

Raise the acceleration side of the diff. lower the front on all the suspension parts and see how that works out.

Can you post the tune? It would be much easier to determine what can be done.

The diff setting is going to depend on how much aero and mechanical grip you’re starting with. If the balance of grip is too far rear to start the diff setting isn’t going to do much. The easiest and most effective change might be to right a step wider tires up front.

Also observe where the under steer occurs. Is the under steer at both high and low speeds or only at high speeds? If only at high speeds, lower rear aero or raise front aero. If at low speeds, adjust anti-roll bars and springs. If the ARB/spring adjustment makes the car good at low speeds and unstable at high speeds, adjust aero balance to compensate.

Be sure there’s no toe-in at the rear, and Alps consider more negative camber up front or less negative camber at rear.
