Wrong chicane after the backstraight on Nürburgring 24h layout

I wanted to write about this for a long time but never got around to do so.
The Nürburgring GP+Nordschleife layout is clearly the version of the 24h race (because of the distinct layout of the first corner), the chicane after the backstraight however is the F1 variant, whereas the correct one would be the motorcicle variant (the one used for the GP circuit in Forza 4).
I haven’t seen another topic about it, but if there already is one I apologize.
Please comment what you lot think about this issue.

So you are saying it should be the second one not the first one?

It’s not really an issue is it in the grand scale of life

It IS actually a big issue since all tracks are promoted to be laserscanned. It is one of the most important tracks in the world but not done correctly 100 percent.

You haven’t driven on Road Atlanta yet have you? They may have taken photos of it back in 2005, but all they’ve really done to the track since then is remove a bunch of trees from the short back straight.

Perhaps with such a big environment as in GP+Norschleife some corners may have been cut no pun intended

Wow just checked and your right, even rfactor got it right.
Could this be fixed?

If you mean the Forza 4 ski jump I’m glad it’s gone and we use the NGK Chicane of the GP circuit. .

To make it clearer, this is what the VLN uses:

F1 in recent times has used the same, shallow chicane:

Forza Motorsport 4 also used the alternative chicane.

To the best of my knowledge the tighter chicane that we see in Forza Motorsport 6 is rarely used in large events these days, and certainly is not used when the GP-Strecke and the Nordschleife are combined.

Wow this is a little discouraging, wonder if we will get an official comment? My guess is this was just a mistake.
