I used to buy every car pack amd car pass, the cars were new, unique and sounded great. Iāve tried really hard to like the game but the poor sounds leave me feeling detached. I canāt get excited for a new car because I know the sound is going to be bad.
You will get burned again in the future, not from T10, but from lotās of other devs and maybe also some AI.
That is what is happening.
I have a Console so I know that the DEVS are working for me to Fix the issues, but guys on PCā¦ well good luck, even if you have way more oprtions.
Yeah itās hit and miss with the cars, some sound good, some sound average but adding a turbo can dramatically change the sound for the better. Then thereās certain rides that are just so far gone you either have to do an engine swap and in doing so most of the time you canāt race them as you want cause it bumps them so far out of class they end up sitting there gathering dust.
Question to the car pass owners, Do the DLC rides sound like they have had more love and attention in regards to their sound and overall quality?
Honestly, I donāt understand whatās the supposed problem with the engines, to me it sounds like cars go vroom vroom, or sometimes whirr whirr. And I can confirm the same is true of DLC cars.
I voted no, but only reluctantly. If T10 started releasing quality products and not what we have now then Iām willing to change my vote. A good example is the Pagani Zonda that was released as a reward car. It sounds nothing like the real thing. Imagine if people had paid real money to aquire this car. Even cars in the car pass have had missing logos or innacurate paint jobs.
The bottom line is simple, if you want people to part with their money especially in this economy you have to make a product worth buying, otherwise people will just look elsewhere.
Thatās because those are not actual car sounds but made up sounds. The car sound files are under 200 from what I know for a list of over 500 cars. So, you will have only a small handful of cars sounding right - Hello, Huayra BC and FXX-K!
Whilst I doubt Iāll buy any games going forward due to 90% of the time them feeling unfinished (cough cough Forza), things like GamePass mean I literally have loads of games for āfreeā.
Will I buy some DLC? Probably but only if the price isnāt stupid. Hardly bought anything at full price for FM7. Got it all at discounted prices
after waiting 6 years and this is the best they couldve done is just a game with 90% reused assests i wont spend a dime on any future T10 game, ill play it on game pass since xbox has very few to no good racing games anymore. ive bought the disc copy of every other game but this one i wont unless its on sale for less then $10
For some cars its not how the car sounds, and for others it doesnāt even sound like a car.
An example of not how the cars sounds, the Alfa Romeo 4C doesnāt sound like that. That is more of a hopped up Ford Focusā sound.
An example of something that doesnāt sound like a car, look no further than the Acura Integra Type R. I donāt know what that is supposed to be?
This is untrueā¦
I stand correctedā¦ That is somewhat what the Integra Type R sounds likeā¦ Its just off putting in the game because of the way it drones. I was wrong. I admit it.
Thereās just so many issues with this game it blows me away the āArmy of Testersā didnāt pick up half of them like today I purchased the 1985 Mazda RX7 GSL-SE and when installing the rear bumper itās missing the complete middle of it, and thatās on top of the game saying that you can tune the rear bumper for more down-force of which you cannot.
So then I purchase the Aston Martin Zagato. I race interior view no wheel and it feels like Iām the shortest person to ever drive cause the placement of the driving view is so low when racing on the Nord I cannot even see the track surface at certain points, this is another irritation, the fact we cannot adjust the seating position in car, tho I do understand that there are limitations to do with the layout and available programming spots for the controller. Itās a shame that Turn10 will not add some deeper control layout for those on PC but I get it.
Still there are SO MANY half done jobs that made it past this so called āMicrosoft Testingā phase that the game becomes laughable, it sure feels like a game that was thrown together in a matter of months, a beta. Iāve heard that Turn10 may have had to scrape the game after years of work on it for whatever reason but that has not been publicly addressed so Iāll call Bull on that
I kinda feel that if the game was scrapped and back to the drawing board for whatever reason that they may have been able to hang onto the physics side of things and thatās really all we got from this circus of unfortunate events, a real half baked Forza Motorsportā¦
Yet I do think that it can be saved, If they listen to us
If I didnāt own this title already, the current sale price of $45 for the base game wouldnāt be low enough to influence a purchase. Never seen a Forza title get so heavily discounted 6 months into its launch.
