I’m wondering… if T10 wanted us to pay for 2018-2020 GT3 cars (like Acura NSX GT3 and Audi R8 LMS in Race Day Car Pack or Ferrari 488 GTE and Mercedes-AMG GT3 in Car Pass), what are the chances that they think about putting newer race cars behind a paywall too? Like LMDh Hypercars or current GT3 models (BMW M4, Porsche 992, Ferrari 296, etc.). And if they do, would you pay for this content?
To be clear: I’m not saying they should release those cars in DLCs, I’m just considering the possibility. As for me, it depends on the price and specific models. On one hand, I’m willing to keep supporting T10 (despite everything) but on the other, I’m not happy with Car Pass featuring GT3 cars that were included 7 years ago in Project CARS 2 as base game content (among other titles)…

Hey the game had a terrible launch, CarPG was reverted due to mass dislike, still tons of issues logged on the site, half the content coming back is recycled, and now we’re putting the top votes cars in a paid DLC. Great idea.

That’s true, it’s risky, especially at current stage of development, when Forza still feels kinda like an early access game. T10 would need to be very careful in keeping a healthy balance between free and paid content (something that was rarely seen since launch, with Car Pass vehicles regularly overshadowing those added for free with updates).

I’m going to buy every car packs, I like the game.

Absolutely not. I bought the Premium Edition Upgrade (or whatever it’s called) prior to launch, and that’s all the money Turn 10 are getting out of me. Honestly, I’ve never really been one for car packs anyway… the game already has over 500, and I’ve driven maybe 10% of those. Why do i want to pay for more?
Besides, over 6 months after launch, and the game is still suffering from a severe lack of content - and rotating FOMO content that disappears every month isn’t doing anyone any favors. This is not to even mention all the other problems the game still has (terrible AI drivers, a penalty system that is downright broken, poor PC optimization, lack of many quality of life and usability features, the list goes on). It all adds up to an end product that, rather than being something to feel proud of, feels like the developers simply said, “eh…that’ll do”, and knocked off early to head down to the pub.
Until the majority of these issues are addressed, my wallet remains closed for any kind of new content - car packs or otherwise.

To be honest I don’t quite like how they did the car pass selection… Not a single Trans Am car can be had without purchasing the car pass, among a bunch of other racing cars that honestly should’ve been part of the base game. On top of that there were barely any road cars; none of them were really unique, at that.
If they were to release any car packs in the next update, I don’t think I’ll buy them. It’s way too soon to start dropping car packs, especially when the game still barely compares well to it’s predecessors.

If they improve the game and add more to do then yeah sure. As it stands, nope. I’ll wait.

For now they have a Ton of cars to add and catch up to FH5 car list. It’s been just like 8 months from release. It’s way waaay too soon for paid dlc and content. But most importantly they didn’t add any worthy content during this 8 months all have been recycled stuff. So paid content will be the last bullet to their own head.
Indeed they absolutely HAVE to add much more tracks and cars to this game to keep it alive but paid content is not the solution atleast for now.

I don’t think T10 is going to add every car FH5 has, they clearly opted for diversing car rosters in both titles so that each has more unique identity (although the latest update and car pack for FH5, adding mostly GT3 cars, kinda blurred that distinction). I think it was a right call, off-roaders didn’t fit FM7 at all IMO
Well, we had 11 #NewToForza cars added with updates since launch so it’s not that terrible… but not great too
100% ABSOLUTELY NOT. And I say that as someone who has strongly advocated for their return in Forza Horizon 5.
The differences between that game and this one is Motorsport 2023 is not only worse by every applicable metric, but it’s in no condition to be forcing a monetization scheme on players - many of whom are likely at wit’s end with Motorsport 2023’s shortcomings and failures.

T10 has straight up misled us players continuously with the game’s content, functionalities and visuals, so I do not trust them to follow their claims of “not monetizing the game after launch”, because it just sounds too good to be true. Plus, everyone is defending Horizon 5’s post-Premium DLCs as if they were the best thing ever, so I expect T10 to follow suit, even though they shouldn’t.
So no, I would not pay for any post-launch FM DLCs.

There would have to be included Cups (single make series) and Championships (for the full GT3 field) and Endurance races. Every included car being the focus of some event.
All included with the DLC, permanently (not rotated in/out monthly).

In 8 months. Horizon 5 tends to do the same in 3 if they feel like it.

True, that’s why it’s also not great
EDIT: I’ve checked how many #NewToForza free cars FH5 gained with updates up to Series 7. There were only 10 such models so also not great. So maybe T10 will do better now that Car Pass is closed, just like PG did when they stopped working on paid content (Car Pass and expansions)
The game has 500 cars
I only use 20
I have no desire to buy more when there’s 480+ cars in the game I don’t use

I’d buy almost any kind of car pass for less then 50c /car. There’s really no car i don’t want. That being said my least favorite cars to drive in this game are definitely muscle cars so if it were a car pass that had only muscle cars i probably wouldn’t even pay 5c/car.

I have no interest in spending money on DLCs or even buying the game (I already have Game Pass), while there are FOMO events in the game.

I would be more than happy to pay for tracks, even fantasy ones, but not for cars. We already have over 500 cars.
There are so many cars from FH5 I need in FM23 though. So many cars. Like I can’t believe just how many cars FH5 has that should be in FM23.

Nope, not a cent more is going towards this game
