Hi Turn 10, if you ever see this, please, listen; I think I speak for almost every experienced Forza player over the last few years when I say that for the next Forza Motorsport, you CAN NOT just throw money at the player like the previous horizon games have. Look at AR12 Nick in GT7 for example, he is always spending and earning money at around $100k credits, which is perfect because if you are constantly at 10 million credits or something stupid like that, you never get to experience what it is like to really buy, sell, and manage cars of your own, you’re always just buying cars like Manny Khoshbin! So please, please, make us work for our money in the next Motorsport game because if you just throw money at us, we will buy all the cars, then stop playing, and you don’t want that do you? Also, one more thing, PLEASE make the car prices and mods in the auto show and upgrade shop realistic to real life, ie. don’t make classic cars like the 250 GTO $5 million, actually make it the full $72 million or whatever it’s worth right now, or make a specific mod to a specific car be the actual price it costs to put said mod on said car. Players actually want to buy and mod cars knowing what they are spending is realistic therefore making the game feel more like real life. Ok, that’s all I have, thanks for reading all of this if you did

Ok, fine Turn 10, im mainly a horizon player but i can tell im gonna like FM8 a lot, IF they get all of these things right, also thats another thing i forgot, please dont make teh AI’s cars faster than they actually are - ie. if the ai is driving an old Porsche and you pass them in a new GT2 RS, they should not rubberband back up to you, that just makes people quit the game
Don’t listen to OP. Progression has been fine. The other big racing franchise is currently being roasted for nerfing payoouts after critic reviews have dropped. That is in addition to raising car prices compared to previous entries of the series and adding various FOMO mechanics, constant ads for purchasable credits and other stuff.
I do have a live besides gaming, I will neither grind 23 hours to be able to buy one legendary car (that is on sale!), nor will I pay 190 Euros in microtransactions to unlock it.
I feel like the Forza Motorsport payouts have been pretty balanced. What ends up making you a billionaire is the Forza Rewards payouts, but now they’re removing that anyway.
I strongly disagree with this. I have a job and a household to maintain and i nearly had all cars after about a month of semi-actively playing forza horizon after release.
A good solution that has the best of both worlds would be a career mode and an arcade mode.
arcade mode: Use any car you want with whichever upgrade you want
career mode: slow progression working from slow hatchbacks to lmp1 cars
forza motorsport is supposed to be the serious racing game and horizon is supposed to be the goofy racing game where there are practically no rules or restrictions.
Disagree with this. I was a huge GT fan but grinding is the reason I bought Forza 2 way back when. Even back in the day GT was too grindy for my taste. I own every FM title that has been released and have made a point to purchase all the DLC to support the awesome team at T10 and the best racing product on the market. I will continue to purchase all the DLC but if they implement a system like GT and get too greedy, I am out. Like someone else said, some of us do not have the time, nor inclination to grind like that.

As a Forza Motorsport fan since 5 (was primarily PlayStation & PC prior to XB1 gen) with 1,700+ hours in FM7 and someone that has ~1200+ hours in #GTSport & 200+ hours in #GT7, this is my short list of things I would like implemented into the Next Forza Motorsport:
Drag Racing: Please take Drag Racing Seriously. Water box, line-locs, roll cage and wheelie bar requirements inline with NHRA rules please
Time: Time of day progression and more choices than just day/night
Weather: Dynamic weather on more tracks (FM7 has a fair amount, no harm in asking for more)
Rain (Racing) Tires: Racing in the rain is fine currently in FM7, but would like the added strategy options.
Customizable Driver Suits & Helmets: Having a clown, astronaut or jail suit is fine as a special event reward, but I would like to make my own.
Allow EPS/SVG uploads: This is no disrespect to the painting community, but the game is meant to be a driving/racing simulator, not a painting game. There are times when I just want to make a basic grass-roots (NASA/SCCA) style livery to race around for hours at my favorite tracks, not paint for hours (or days)…
More Paint Options: Brake Caliper, windows stickers/decals, headlamp/taillamp color or tape please
Separate Wheels from Tunes: If possible, have the weight benefits allow you to choose only wheels within the same size & weight and not locked to the style/design chosen by the tuner. I don’t want wheels to be strictly cosmetic like in Gran Turismo, just some visual variety for homologation/spec races.
More Tracks: Add Willow Springs Raceway as well as any missing IMSA visited tracks (Canadian tire, Mid-Ohio, Belle Isle)
Allow the user to pic AI Liveries: Currently drivitars (on your friends list) use the most popular liveries in FM7 which is fine in most cases, but I would like Trans-Am, MX-5 Cup, or BMW Club racing immersion like we get with GT and Prototype Bucket Races currently.
Fix Bucket Racing Options: In FM7, once a couple things are selected, everything else is ignored. Example, once you pick either the car type or brand, the power level doesn’t load in the Bucket race. If you pic a power level/class, it will only choose cars that are that by default… would love a MX-5 Cup race with every Miata in-game at a Class C level or a Mustang, Camaro & Challenger race that brings N/A cars up to SC spec/level.
Replay Camera improvement: While a bit tedious, it would be nice to replicate the camera angles used on broadcast TV for racing events (ex: Daytona, most of the replay angles are close to what NASCAR & IMSA use minus newly used drone footage).
Dirt/Baja/Pikes Peak: Please consider adding these forms of racing
Really looking forward to updates on the upcoming Forza Motorsport hopefully as soon as June
Edit: added fh-gameplay-misc tag
Hope the next Motorsport is released before E3 2023
Off road tracks for the off road cars and a few snow tracks like you get in Gran Turismo, always found it stupid to have Ford F-150’s, Hummers, Jeeps, Land Rovers etc in a game with no dirt tracks. As well as taking a lesson from Gran Turismo with the off road tracks it could also do with taking a lesson from Assetto Corsa with vintage tracks. They have the 1966 Monza circuit & the 1967 Silverstone layout, i still wish they had more though. I think it is due a good revamp as driving on the whole the same cars around on the whole the same tracks as Motorsport 5.6 & 7 will not encourage me to buy a new game. In fact i am back on my old Xbox 360 more these days playing Forza Motorsport 3 & 4 because the tracks and cars are just so different to the Xbox one Motorsport editions. Oh and bring the deeper standing water back from Motorsport 6 you hardly notice it in 7. Plus i have put this in a post about tracks but will add it here to, would love to see more old editions of tracks like Old Monza 1954 (6.214 mi/10.000 km)
Old Nurburgring Gesamtstecke 1925 (17.567 mi/28.265km) Nordschleife plus old Sudschleife
& Old Spa 1920 (9.32 mi/15.00 km)
After playing GT7 since it released (Great game BTW, having a blast in Sport mode), the new Forza Motorsport needs to have the following:-
- Full HUD in the middle of the screen (see GT7 bumper view)
- Copy GT7 Sport mode weekly races/cups system, along the the Driver rating, Safety rating and in-game penalty system.
- Dynamic weather (light rain, heavy rain, track drying out, day into night etc…)
- Import of .svg files for decals (much better than Forza’s paint system, unless you’re a Forza painter i guess)
- The information about each car is interesting too for the classics.
- Licenses to complete to have access to higher level cars (should stop rammer that cant control the cars they’re driving)
I’m hoping FM Multiplayer is good when ever it releases, but if not i’m fine with sticking to GT7. The racing in GT7 Sport mode is much cleaner than anything i’ve experienced in Forza Motorsport since the original game, except when playing in a friends only lobby. FM7 League’s were quite clean though. I’m not even in a group with the best racers either (DR: B SR: S currently).
Ok I can see that lots of people who have their own house and jobs and stuff (as you can tell I’m under that age) but even if you only have less than an hour to put aside 5 days of the week, that’s still about 500 hours in the game’s lifetime, and that should be plenty to unlock whatever you want, I’m just saying you shouldn’t be a billionaire by 50 hours of playing the game, it should take a casual player at least a few months to become properly rich with lots of cars so that the hardcore guys like me who have 2+ hours to set aside every day don’t unlock everything within a week or two. I had literally EVERY car in the entire FH5 within a month, which is totally unrealistic in any aspect of anything, and I didn’t grind 24/7, imagine those guys that are in their mom’s basement all day, they must have done it all in a week. Also, I do have to admit I utilized some of the exploits in the early stage, I’m talking like before the standard edition came out I had over 100 cars and 10 mil credits, please make absolutely sure that players can’t cheat at all, and I would recommend taking out still points because every horizon game recently has had an overload of glitches and exploits with skill point stuff. Sorry for all the repetition but if you got to the end you get a high five!
User created public lobbies. Duh?
I agree and would lik to add my own closely related suggestions. As a real life car guy i often find myself frustrated and aggravated about not just the unrealistic cost of parts/upgrades as you brought to attention, but just as annoying is the inaccurate info in relation to mostly vehicle stats. 2 biggest examples are for instance the old 426 Hemi is shown as the commonly known and believed 425 HP(adv rpm), while most uncommonly known is more like 475(not tuned or set up for max output) @ red line which was both to prevent higher insurance premiums as well as to not encourage less qualified drivers to drive foolishly and beyond their safe capabilities. 2ND the small details such as not showing engine cubic this placement and some instances as well as what engine it is and comparison to other variations and options etc.
OK, I may have mentioned this already, but one simple but necessary feature required in the game is the “FINAL LAP” indicator for all races - multiplayer and career-mode! The new feature should be visual and flashy and if possible audible.
the only real wish i have is a server browser for the multiplayer- or a option to choose the track you want drive online. in fm7 you have to join/quit, join/quit, join/quit till you land on the track you like to play. now im so tired about this procedure, i just try 3-4 times and then quit the game and play others.
Last week we expanded our Suggestions Hub section of the forums for submitting ideas, so I am closing this thread. Be sure to read the Getting Started Tips and Guidelines before posting:
