We need a Windshield Reflection Disable option like we have for LensFlare and Motion Blur. Have tried Dynamic, low,& ultra. Some cars are not too bad but others are painful, this sucks as a First Person Driver. the wheel less cam is a little better because it doesnt render the hands reflections only the dash, but im mostly forced to deal with it or swap to hood cam. this needs to be fixed.
also what is up with the character model the arms, they are like Popsicle sticks pivoted off the big hands and do wired things like shown in the screen shots. not a big deal that actually effects game play like the constant reflections in your field of view while trying to focus down track and drive.
Yeah i don’t like the fact you can’t turn off the reflection for the window. We also need to be able to use the window wipers on long races a dirty window and no wiper sorta sucks.
i still remember Chevrolet Corvette C1 1960 from Forza Motorsport 5 which i used to love before i couldn’t drive it because your whole dashboard was baked onto the windshield, they never fixed it, so get over it
they fix one thing and break 10 more, turn 10 quality department basically died after FM4 which had problems of is own but at least they were tolerable, this is however a mess of it’s own
This is actually an issue in the real world, so Forza is likely reproducing it as closely as they can.
Many racing cars will use matte black hoods (like the Camaro’s with the 1LE package) to help limit glare off of the hood surface, while others go as far as “flocking” the dashboard, which is basically glueing on a layer of fuzz to prevent reflections.
I started a thread on this in discussions. These reflections ruin the cars it’s on and they’ve been there since FM5. My biggest complaint was after paying a fortune at the specialty dealer for the Ferrari 250LM it was undrivable! NO FERRARI WOULD HAVE EVER BEEN PUT ON THE TRACK LIKE THIS, EVER. Any distraction would have been removed, painted or at least taped until removed. Ferrari has always been meticulous in race preparation. Worse, the offending reflection is a plate that never existed in the car! Turn 10 please remove them. The only thing they add are frustration and unhappy customers.
Yes I agree. They need to turn up the translucency of these reflections. They are very distracting and it’s unfortunate because I prefer to drive in cockpit view.
I was paying attention, how it looks like in real car, but in mine it is not possible to see hands on steering wheel. Of course i don’t have racing car, but still only part of dashboard can be reflected. The point is, that im not sure if driver hands should be reflected on windshield.
The fact that you can turn them off in Horizon 3 but not this game is unbelievable . Did turn 10 not communicate with Playground at all in what they did with the engine. Horizons launch was rough but they have made Hugh improvements over the last year, I wouldn’t have expected this to arrive with so many issues.
Bump. TURN 10 PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE THIS IS A PROBLEM! PLEASE FIX! So many cars are simply undrivable because these horrible reflections are baked on the windshield! Lighting doesn’tmatter car positioning doesn’t matter, they are ALWAYS THERE!
it would be nice to have this as a separate option because some cars (like almost all LMP cars) barely have a windshield to speak off, and even then the reflection covers what little view you have left.
It’s a shame, cause cockpit view is quite fun and immersive, but only for open wheel/open cockpit vehicles, or cars that have a fairly large windshield.
