Reflections in the windshield

Does ANYONE actually want to see our hands in the windshield…Seriously T10 did you ever actually ask anyone who plays the game… I play in cockpit view all the time and it bugs the crap outta me…I don’t see my hands in the windshield when I drive in real life, have you ever driven a car in real life?

Yup, it’s ridiculous. And so distracting that it makes cockpit and in cabin view basically impossible.

I see my reflection all the time through the windshield when I’m driving and out the window to my left.

It’s a bit overdone.

Like a lot of things in Forza in general.

Another bit of fluff to distract from the substantial things that should matter more in a driving game.

True, like the shaking in the windscreen wipers and wing mirrors. Its there on some cars and it does happen but it’s at high speeds and very subtle.

I actuall Drive. a Jeep Cherokee / Liberty KJ and even off road nothing shakes that much, is over the top same as the reflections.

I hate this windshield handreflections too.

If the windscreen reflections were like that in real life everyone would crash every time you go down to the shops. In some cars (especially the SUVs) it’s so bad I don’t see the corner coming sometimes.

I also agree on the windscreen wiper wiggling around bit - unless your car is old and broken AF, that should not happen. I have driven my car (a large family sedan, nothing sporty or fancy) at upwards of 100mph before and the windscreen wipers didn’t budge. I also drove my previous car, an Alfa Giulietta QV, at 140mph, and those wipers still didn’t move once.

Yet in Forza you can take a modern GT car at 120mph and watch those wipers flail around like they’re about to go flying off the car!

I think it’s pretty cool to see the wipers, mirrors and antenna vibrating. The reflection is overdone IMO but it’s not something I’d moan about.

It is cool, but like the reflection thing, it is overdone - the frequency is way too high on lower speeds, mirror vibration is even more annoying on that frequency rate (and why is the in car rear-view mirror going crazy as well). Same thing with those silly overactive drivatars. All these stupid little things (there are so many of these) that are overlooked, which should have been polished before the release of the game, push me more and more towards the thought that there were hardly any test-phase for Forza 7 (and we are doing it right now).

Yeah, I agreed the reflection is overdone but the rest of it, I can’t complain about to be honest.

Reflections are overdone.
And the cracks in the windshield are really annoying. Every time I get crashed I have to switch to hood cam because I can’t see poop.

Yep real life windscreens simply don’t crack like that, but the ones in Forza are like an eggshell. And unlike in Horizon we can’t turn visual damage off, despite this being something requested for years. Sigh.

I also noticed that even set to high, the reflection resolution is very jagged.

Turn10 could probably turn up the transparency of the reflection a little, on Spa for example during the day it’s a little blinding and destructs the view through the windshield.

The reflections are indeed overdone. Especially on purpose built race cars.
One would think that world class racing teams would…

  1. Stop using Armor All on the dash
    and/or
  2. Cover the dash with something that isn’t so reflective.
    Maybe one day they’ll learn.
Or maybe they already have and T10 didn’t take this into account.

This DOES get annoying I admit. It’s overdone and never do you see reflections like these IRL unless you smother the dash with interior polish or something. Even then, the hands reflect in the windscreen like this when you’re actually driving.

I agree with everything you guys are saying. I swear T10 doesn’t have beta testers, cause who on earth would let this be a thing lol! Wiper blades shaking is kinda cool but omg T10 stop trying to super authentic to the point of exaggerated garbage… reflections of dash in windshield do happen, but holy crap tone it down a little, I swear T10 has never driven a car in real life lol.

Whoever is making these decisions needs to seriously listen to us, the community, the people who give you money. I gave you $100 for the Ultimate Edition because I know this game can be great!

There is a lot of good things you guys are doing too. I love the Forza edition cars with cool perks like more % credits, that’s super fun, keep coming out with those. The boxes we can buy is also super cool and fun.

Yeah I can barely stand driving my Lamborghini…my favorite car…

I am glad someone brought that up.

I drive Cockpit too and in some cars the reflections are so bad I can’t see the track.
