So like title says, are there hopes that they will patch in a real online racing mode with maybe pvp ranks and so on?
I mean the game is great but after finishing all the singleplayer stuff there really isn´t anything to do (except more boring grind to get millions for the expensive cars).
Current online modes are just crap and boring. There is no real racing, just those silly games and XP Championship… thats ridiculus for an AAA game these days.
Rivals is a great way to compete. I was doing that on fh2. I got in the top 100 on 20ish courses by the time I bought fh3. It also helps you tune your cars and find the best ones in each class.
Fh2 multiplayer was far worse. I was glad to find out that you can choose between racing, games, and no contact racing. This will make the online now enjoyable for me at least. They’re almost custom lobbies.
While Online Adventures/Autotours are definitely better balanced, it still isn’t satisfying me as a racer and regarding that Fh2 at least had the showdown races at the car meets where actual race winner is the winner (in every area). Not that like that ONE car meet we have here in fh3, in which we can do (boring) drag racing only, that is totally inbalanced thanks to the rubbish PI system.
It really has so much potential, especially for us arcade racers. While fh2s online racing was the same as here in fh3 (but only worse), it at least had those car meet races mentioned above, that managed to entertain me for a good 1650~ hours.
Fh3 was supposed to entertain me for the next 2 years until the next horizon comes out…but judging what the devs did for us racers (or in fact taking the one good thing for racers from fh2 out of the game) is not going to achieve that.
Respect, The Crews physics were imo pretty bad.
(If anyone is up for some free roam racing, just simply add me. I prefer A and S1 and preferably none of the engine swapped op cars among them. Im also up for slower cars as well, as long as theyre not tuned for horsepower)
They need to bring back the showdown races; there is really no excuses as to why they left out this feature. I guess they have been replaced by free roam stuff, which I hate and Co-op campaign, which I still don’t get!!!
Totally agree on the showdown races - had some great multi-class action in and around Nice in particular!
I love the game but I have to agree that once you finish all singleplayer exhibitions and championships that a couple of weeks later boredom kicks in. Mainly looking forward to the snow expansion now and hopefully some new gamechanging things.

Cool! Can’t wait to play GT Sport. It sounds like it will fill the massive void left by FH3’s online component. There is still time for FH3 to rectify its mistakes. Hopefully the devs get the message.
Theyre not going to change anything. Its also pretty hysterical to me that 2 months into this game people are already eagerly awaiting expansion packs. Kind of sad really that this game didnt really do anything new to keep people playing. Seems like a wasted opportunity.
Go to Online Adventure, Custom Adventure, Racing Only or No Collisions and forget about the xp championship.
Or find a group if like minded people to go into a freeeroam and setup your own races.
This game has so much potential, no idea why they messed up the online part so bad.
ATM it´s WAY to much money for the playtime you get.
when i look at the crew… i paid less than here and have over 750 hours of gameplay there.
here… not even close to 50 hours and already bored.
seems it´s just a overpriced paintshop app with some driving features. 
Maybe FH3 doesn’t have all these online features because Turn 10 would rather you got back on FM6 for that kind of thing.
Too sad PC users only have APEX. At least we have the Nordschleife now there

i know Horizon only is an arcade version of FM, and maybe for console this silly mp-games are ok,
but as a pc player i´m used to race against others, not playing useless games (most ppl in the crew (PC) [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]
I too think that online with this series has gone downhill with each iteration. With the original, I had a couple thousand online races on my record. With the second it was maybe a hundred. With 3, I haven’t gotten too heavily into it given I like to learn all the tracks before diving in, but based on doing a few things for the Forzathon stuff it doesn’t seem that great. There is just no customization anymore and when it comes to racing you really need that.
What is annoying is when players that finish near the back of the field in every race of the “XP Championship” end up winning the championship. Then it gets even sillier when they brag through their mic that they are the best. This is just stupid. Come on Turn 10, please give us racing with pvp ranks. You can still give us XP based on where we finished in each race.
