I’ve been playing the “Online Adventure” and I really think that it needs to be redesigned properly. I believe many people will agree with me on this. We all know that, “Online Adventure” is basically a Preset of races set by T10 community, but there are somethings that needs to be fixed/changed.
There are plenty races in singleplayer mode, but for a specific class, races are monotonous. i.e S1 900 Asphalt Only , Yarra Valley, Surfers Paradise, all races are being repeated. We need a variety of Events.
Sometimes, coming first on races doesn’t actually mean you’ll win the adventure, we need Points feature instead of XP feature. (At least in Collision Off adventures)
Driving to “event” seriously needs to go, every time we have to drive on avg 4-10km. Ultimately if you can’t be on time it fast travels towards the race site, because someone who joined late and spawns near the event area can instantly reset the timer to 30 seconds. Also we have “Online Freeroam” for this kind of driving.
Before choosing the adventure type, i.e Voting booth, the cards should mention all the 4 events name under the event. i.e Maroondah Dam Sprint, Three Bridge Circuit etc
If, only if, we get playlists and points feature, with no “Driving to event” then I’d recommend to increase events to 6 per adventure.
An option to choose car every time before a race. (there are 400+ cars and we are stuck to one car per adventure )
Any late joiners in Adventure should be notified which race event are ongoing, i.e If I join an adventure with a S1 Asphalt car, and the adventure is about S1 Cross-Country then I don’t get to know what type of races that are ongoing.
Maybe I’m asking too much here, but I believe the online adventure can be improved in many ways.
I agree with all of that. At this point, I doubt an overhaul is possible, but every one of those points would make the experience better, in my opinion.
I second that for sure. What they’ve down is remove a really simple and straight forward access point for racing with others as in FH1 and FH2 and renamed online adventuring as “Online Adventure” or “Campaign Corp”, not good strategies IMO!
We “doubt” because we had the exact same crappy system in H2 with multiple complaints and they addressed those complaints by pasting the exact same crap into H3. They aint gonna change it because they don’t care.
It was Beachside Blast, S1 900, but you beat that already as I checked today. Nice time.
Ah-ha! I know that. But I said if you are already in a car class that’s the adventure is about. EX: If you are in S1 and decides to join Adventure and the Adventure is already in S1 then the game won’t tell you whether its cross-country or mixed or asphalt.
I’ve high hopes for this one, let’s see if Turn10 can actually turn the tables.
The game is already so good, only this Online racing that needs to be fixed, I hope devs are looking at my thread.
Okay, I agree with all of the other changes that need to happen, but this one already exists. When joining a game, if you choose a car, the category is shown in the top left, like cross country, asphalt only, or playground games. You’re welcome.
Online play in this game is an abomination. I have never seen anyone praise it and there have been several complaints. They apparently just don’t care because we idiots keep buying the games. They took the exact crappy system from H2 that everyone complained about and pasted it into H3. They did add a choice between racing and games which is good but we need way more.
I want choice. I want to decide what class I choose to race in. I refuse to play online is S1 or S2 because they players are horrible drivers and they cannot handle these cars. When I join an online adventure if it is S1 or S2 I just dropout and reenter until I finally get in A class or below. But if I want D or C (which I do!) I may never get it. Then when you get jammed into one of these “adventures” you don’t know where or what kind of races. After dropping out of 3 S2s immediately this afternoon I finally landed in a B class. Great! Except I chose a road car and it was a cross country event. We need to know these things before we choose!
I love everything about this game EXCEPT online. I hate, loathe and despise the way they have structured online giving the players NO CHOICE in what they play! It really is mind boggling after all of the complaints in H2 that they would leave it the same in H3. The content is there! Just let us choose what we want (via lobbies) and get rid of this absolutely ridiculous online vote. This single feature (or lack there of) has driven more players away and left them with a bad taste and opinion of the franchise than probably anythingelse.
As I have said in other posts, the online component to this game is total crap. There is nothing to do for those that want a pure racing experience, unless you count the clownish “XP Championship”, which I don’t. It’s just a bunch of so-called drivers that skill chain and drift race to the events and do the same in the races. It would be nice to know who the good racers are in this game and a straight up racing experience online would be a GREAT addition to this game. I would give the single player 8/10(Good) and the online adventure is a 2/10(Horrible).
There are players who are getting a huge xp bonus from something and taking a commanding 3x score lead. I mean I can drive right along him the whole way and finish just behind but he scores double or triple? Whatever that is it needs to be fixed. Everyone’s xp gain should be equal… meaning there’s no setting(s) that gives you more for driving the same as the other guy. You can’t convince me they are banking a lot of skills bouncing off walls
Get rid of S2 class off-road as a voting option. Better routes according to class. More variety of races.
Let us choose a different car between races… but still same class. But let us know what kind of race it is before hand too so I know what car to pick
Please let us Mute anyone at anytime not just when it’s time to drive. I’ve found a way through Xbox but this should already be a common feature

BIG Disagreed , but changes to the spawning point of late joiners are welcome*

disagreed because i love the Driving to event thing .Maybe we use this also as “Qualifying” (late spawners allways last)*

Ive always said it needs to be an option…some perfer the xp but most of us according to these forums perfer a points based (finishline) based system. Ive never seen the point in having a finish line/ destination point…if you dont have to use it…if people want drifting events h3 already caters for that…
If you’re looking for these things to happen in Forza Horizon 3, they won’t.
The game is already transitioning from its “post-launch bug fixes and minor features” stage to its “maintain support by adding DLC and fixing game-breaking bugs” stage. Development time and resources are limited, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a number of developers at Turn 10/Playground have already been siphoned off of Forza Horizon 3 to begin work on upcoming titles. As a result priority is places on essential updates. DLC is essential as it {a} brings in money and {b} has already been promised. Fixes for game-breaking issues are also a priority for obvious reasons. “Quality of life changes” to Online Adventure are not essential and any that do come in will not result in an overhaul.
