I ask because the game has just been released on the PS5 and Forza Horizon 6 still seems a year or so away. So will we now see only recycled Series until the next game releases? Or will the team push a new Update? Forza Motorsport now has a few cool new cars in their latest DLC pack and Monthly Updates that would fit Horizon very well.
If FH6 is still a year away (I say IF, no official announcement or information has been released about it yet!), then a whole year with only recycled content seems pretty boring to me, especially when FM23 gets cool new cars
I mean the main reason FM23’s getting new cars while FH5 isn’t is right there in the name you gave FM, FH5 is 2 years older than it so not really sure what the sad face is about
And there’s about 900 of them to explore as is anyway in FH5, with a plethora of options available in terms of what to use them for.
Improve at the game and learn/pick up things which in turn opens up the game to you instead of relying solely on the playlist.
I think they’re content with just keeping the new PS5 players happy for now and might feel everyone else already has had their money’s worth. Also, if they really want to add new cars, they can easily put them into the repeat playlists since they have to edit them anyway to allow for the backstage passes.
Never say never, but most signs point to no. New content for Motorsport 7 eventually stopped with several years of no content between Motorsport 7’s end of life and Motorsport 8’s launch.
Plus, as you mentioned, Microsoft is getting tons of more money from the PS5 release. Had they released that a few years ago, we probably wouldn’t have even gotten a second wave of car DLC.
For now, we’re kind of just left in the dust, which I’m rather split on. On one hand, I always want more Horizon content. But, on the other hand, after playing Horizon 5 every week for 3 and a half years as well as playing Horizon 4 for another 2 and half years before that, and very little changing between sequels in regards to how the single player campaign mode functions, I’m also kind of grateful for a long break.
They’ll certainly have another update if the Switch port is true.
I’d say they’ll do a couple. There are cars that are in other recent titles that aren’t included in FH5 so they’ve (probably) got the material and I don’t think a basic update is that huge an undertaking. I’d be surprised if it’s gone totally dead on the update front.
But maybe some licensing deadline has kicked in for this title and they can’t upload more cars. The idea being that agreements signed initially didn’t foresee this game going on for so long & they’ve run out of road for new/reusable car content.
It’d be nice if they flagged some of whatever they’re planning or not planning. But radio silence seems to be the order of the day sadly.
Never say never is probably most appropriate, but there’s no reason or precedent to think there will be any new series updates. The only additions have been dlc coinciding with the ps5 release and accolade cars for the realms release.
It’s time to accept we’re voting for the least worst of two repeating series
This might be a cynical take, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if that’s it until FH6. I’d say (and yes, this is entirely speculation) the team may not want to add any more content to FH5 (especially highly requested cars) this late into the game’s life because it could potentially make it harder for them to funnel players into FH6.
I dont expect anything than DLC scams. No fixes or changes that make sens
like playlist reward cars that players can buy in the autoshow pointless.
Give the player the chance to get rare cars insted!

Well, there’s a first time for everything. After all, at one point, we consistently got a new game every year from either Motorsport or Horizon, and now we’ve only gotten one from each in the last seven years.
I’m hoping they keep the recycling because I’ve been playing for 2 years, never fail to get the cars of the week or month, and I STILL don’t have All the cars (excluding DLC of course). I only have about half a dozen or so cars to get to complete the game, so logic dictates that they would have probably been in the weekly seasons and monthly cars before I played, so I still want them. I just need other players to vote for the cars I need for future seasonal update. I have a few DLC’s but not all, because lets face it, some of them are, erm, rubbish.
I voted for the red Toyota HiLux ST off roader thing in the last vote last week, because even after 2 years, I still haven’t got it. I want it because it sort of reminds me of the one that was used on British Top Gear when Clarkson, Hammond and May went to the North Pole.
