Will there be an option for seniors who can't grind?

Will there be an option for seniors who can’t grind? I’m too old to grind. I just setup cars, paint them and drive with a wheel. What can you offer me?

Thank you for responding to this issue. It needs a little discussion and I thank you moving it forward.

Well …I’m 64.

Cheers

No worries - and I’m 8 years older than you.

Yeah another older adult here and been playing Forza and FH for a decade. I use a wheel and this is just a winter time game to keep me happy when driving season is limited. Honestly from the look of things I won’t be doing FH6, the idea of so much city driving and the potential for way too many 90 deg turns is a huge turn off. The lack of desire to actually drive cars and instead slide, bash and wall ride ruins multi-player racing (open and Tour) and the “AI” seems to adopt the same style for solo play which sucks. This is likely to be heavy on drifting which is marginally interesting as a “real sport” and completely uninteresting to me in FH … wish they would have done a separate “FH Tokyo Drift” for those who enjoy it. The whole thing with mansions and garages and non-driving things is also of zero interest to me.

Im 50, been playing FM & FH from the beginning.

I like to make liveries & share them, not much into the tuning lark & just D/L others tunes & hope they work for me.

I dont mind the grind, but it does get tedious at times.

53 years old and been here since FH1

Other than race, drift and cruise livery making is my thing. Got legendary status in both FH3 and FH5. My tuning is only for self use cause it’s so many great tuner out there and me myself are mediocre. Can’t wait for FH6 and so far so much of the little we know about FH6 sounds and looks great :+1:

The info just posted for Horizon 6 indicates that the career will have two paths that can be followed.

  1. Complete the races and playlists with the grind and go from bottom to top.
  2. The second is the “discover japan” where you dont seem to focus as much on racing but rather exploration

Hope that helps

IM 6 years younger.lol Im hoping for re-mappable controls, still use X for throttle,LT/RT for gears etc,due to issues with my fingers. Also hoping the assisted steering option is there for some of the hard races i struggle with.:+1:

I’m in my late 30’s and I’m wondering how the grind is going to work for the FOMO “Seasonal Playlist” cars. After playing Motorsport ‘23, I’d be perfectly fine with not having to do any PvP (The Trial or [ugh] King of the Hill/Zombie/Hide&Seek/etc.) and just have PvE/PvAI stuff to do within a week (Horizon style) or month’s (Motorsport style) time.

“I’m not interested in this or that,” “I don’t want to do that.” It’s natural that every FH is closer to one player or another, depending on the map, environment, and new features. That said, the series has been stagnant for several installments in terms of structure and needed to return to its roots. In the end, starting out and having 200 supercars after 10 hours may not matter to you who experience the game in certain ways, but it matters to others. As I said above, everyone experiences FH in their own way and that should be respected. If it were up to me, I would delete Eliminator and all the crazy part of FH, but many people like it, so it’s a matter of compromise.

I’m just hoping my old eyes and slower reactions can keep up.

As long as it’s easy to join random groups of racers and have fun I’ll skip the grind.

Seniors here? I’m 83 with about 6 or 7 years in FH4 and FH5. I spend a lot of time on car tuning, and mostly do circuit racing on road and dirt, racing only PvE against the drivatars. I’m a decently good and smooth driver, but I’ll never be a great driver. In spite of that, I’m at level 10, I’ve got all the money and all the cars I want. Can’t wait for FH6.

It’s just great reading about a 83 year old forza fan “BOY”:+1: If you’re not just fooling me. I hope I still enjoy games and can cope with all the online stuff when I reach your age. Reading that you have reached level ten makes me wonder if you have a wife nagging about you playing too much :joy: I am only level 5  I also can’t wait for FH6. :eyes: you on the roads :automobile:

There’s a “golden route” from the AI in game that i assume just guides you to get through the main chunks of gameplay sounds like.

@Zw3ipac, no I’m not fooling you. It’s the technical racing - road and dirt - and the challenges of learning tuning that bring me here. The way I’ve done it without getting in trouble has been by simply running a 10-race road racing series nearly each day since the game was released. Plus the playlist activities and all the other stuff. And over time, almost 4 1/2 years, it’s just all added up. I’m just hoping that with all the changes coming up in FH6 it will still be as engaging for me as FH4 and FH5 have been.

From what I have seen in all the previews I sincerely think FH6 will be the best game of them all.

FH5 was a bit of a disappointment compared to the previous ones but I’m still playing it.

But I’m almost like a child waiting for Christmas when thinking about FH6 even though I have to drive on the left side of the road. I believe the transition to FH6 will be a easy one for people with a lot of hours in FH4/5.

Granted, he has only played what the preview build has limited him to, but HokiHoshi has stated that progression appears to be more of a hybrid of Horizon 1’s model and Horizon 3/4/5’s model, with bias leaning more towards 3/4/5’s. It’ll likely still be a campaign more accommodating for casual players with only some added challenge for competitive players.
