What I mean by this is that I personally think that Forza Horizon 6 would be an amazing game if Playground Games were to slightly or fully cater to us slightly older audiences like from Teens to elderly cause this age range we’re all about car’s and car culture for an example I’m a 26 y/o man with Autism and I’m not a huge fan of how they stopped catering to us and instead shifting to catering to children no offense to them but I don’t know what does everyone else think of this?
It doesn’t even need to necessarily bring back the swearing from Horizon 1. It just needs to be less cheerful and feel a little more like a racing festival that actual twenty-somethings and thirty-somethings would go to. Quite frankly, minus the very corporate elements and the FIA, Horizon games just need nail the same kind of atmosphere a modern F1 race has, and it’d be golden.
Also, Playground really needs to get rid of Horizon Stories. Bring back Bucket List Challenges and use whatever money you’ve saved by not paying your bad writers and meh voice actors more for something more useful.
Agreed also I didn’t say for them to bring back the swearing that wasn’t my intention I was more talking about how the older series they were more for the older audiences and car guy’s and girls and everyone else as well but ever since Forza Horizon 4 that changed to getting children’s attention hence why we have the eliminator mode in the first place and why in Forza Horizon 4 and 5 that everything is easy to get and it’s all handed to you on a silver plater while Forza Horizon 1 and 2 you had to work your way up and you had to pick 3 low powered cars and I absolutely miss this and so much more
Majority of us feels this way especially us ogs who’s been begging for horizon to take place in Japan. Fh5 was the coffin in the nail , we really need to go back to the more mature griddy car culture side like back in the early 2000’s car games . Everything is so childish, cringe , almost every horizon game ,they never get car culture right and again make it too childish or they don’t make the game for car enthusiasts but for kids and casuals . I’m also tired of them always using the British accents in every horizon game . Give us actual Japanese voice acting …
One can only dream. I know all of this has been beaten to death at this point but i do agree the game needs to take a bit of that Forza Horizon 1 tone, maybe even Horizon 2 and 3. The game doesn’t necessarily need a gazillion of new features and cars. It just needs an experience that is well fleshed out and curated and where you can truly feel the festival and car culture being celebrated. Not just another generic open world, live service, sandbox (although those elements aren’t necessarily all that terrible to have), do whatever, make your own game kind of thing.
it’s like when you look at something as successful as Top Gear and The Grand Tour. It may be just reiterating of the same thing but if you push the right buttons, it just syncs and everyone loves it regardless of how beaten it’s been. Horizon needs more of that. It needs to re-discover that sort of magic that just makes it all gel together.
As mentioned earlier Bucketlist challenges are a good example of this. The right music, the right car, the right setting. You complete the challenge and get greeted by the UI and the camera work as you see how much credits and xp you’ve earned. Even if a lot of the challenges were pretty easy, it’s the overall experience and how everything works in a tandem that makes this a really good feature.
I know PG have changed and a lot of devs don’t work on Horizon anymore but i still believe on some level, there still gotta be people on that team that must understand what makes Horizon feel like Horizon.
And as far as the more gritty side of Forza Horizon 1. That old codemasters influence and the boss characters. Those sort of things need to return too. The game needs friction. That’s all it comes down to.
I completely agree with this
I also agree with you even though I’ve never played Top Gear The Grand Tour ![]()
