That’s an odd thing to not have traffic lights?! Maybe just to try and make the traffic constantly moving fluidly, as we’re not going to be stopping much whilst playing this game and random stopped cars could cause casuals constant cramps.
Next you’ll be telling me no cats-eyes in the middle of the road whist driving at night…aghhhhh!!!

No, it wouldn’t add to the immersion a single bit. Last traffic light I’ve seen was… Two months ago, I think? Here in Italy and in France (and generally speaking, in Europe) roundabouts are far more popular. I guess it has a lot to do with our comparatively narrow roads.
There are so many things more important than traffic lights.

On my daily commute to work (10 miles) from my home I go through 10 sets of traffic lights and go round 4 roundabouts…just saying!
On the longer gameplay video, there was at least one roundabout. It was more in a country setting and not urban.
Traffic lights are part of driving. It’s not absurd to ask about traffic lights in an open world driving game.
