Kinda furious!

Well I hope the complainers are happy now. Traffic is back in full force. I can no longer happily carve the beautiful roads without having to dodge traffic cars. Since the game released all I kept seeing on this forum is people posting about how lonely and sad they were cause there was no traffic. I personally couldnt of been happier with the lack of traffic in horizon life and if I needed traffic cars for certain skills I would just go to horizon solo. It was like we finally got what everyone wanted from the horizon 3 days, a way to turn off traffic. But anyway thanks to all the lonely drivers out there now you dont have to be alone anymore.

It’s an open world racer? Traffic is part of the open world

So is smashing into cars and walls.
So we shouldn’t see posts complaining about ramners and wall riders. Just part of the open world.
Hells Bells, I started partaking in combat driving just to feel part of the open world. I also found out something else, other combat drivers don’t like it when you can combine driving skills and combat skills.
Inever hear their horns when they are running me off the road, but turn the table on them and you have an entire chorus line of horns singing their outrage.
The only thing cars do in interfere with my tuning on occasion, maybe the regular cars can be programmed to assault your car as it goes to pass them. That’s the only thing missing now, combat AI’s.

Ikr. Keeping up with what dont matter they do crap that has nothing to do with what the people really want, REAL ISSUES FIXED or removed. Music, get rid of it itd not wanted. Well back to smashing into ai cars its there goal to make it a destruction derby game

I agree there should be an option to turn traffic off, but choosing between online and offline play shouldn’t be how that choice is made, it should be a separate option that can be chosen in either mode.

I get that choosing between online and offline isn’t the correct way to do it but at least we could do it. And in response to the other guy who posted I take it you were one of the lonely ones. If i want a real world experience i will go drive my actual car on an actual road.

I don’t know. If there was any increase, it was very small that i barely noticed any difference. Personally i didn’t have issue with the pre-patch situation either, it was certainly a relief after FH3 dense traffic which made many drift or speed zones to 3 star impossible.
Cruised a bit around the map half an hr ago and there were a few near misses/scrapes but that’s about it, so not as bad as you described, but i can only speak for myself.
I actually hit more trees but that’s because just getting used to ABS off and sometimes i brake too little to avoid lock up :D.

Yeah I’m not sure how the update is affecting everyone else but for me I noticed two things right away that never happened to me before the update. First thing was anytime I stopped on the road for a moment to do something real quick irl there would be a line of traffic cars backed up waiting for me to move which never happened to me before this update. Second thing was while everyone was waiting for the forzathon to start traffic cars where cluttering up in the area everyone was horsing around in. Also just driving around I was getting way more traffic cars popping up around blind corners.

I vote for unfix too. Traffic has no value at all. It brings maybe a bit immersion, but its nothing more than more moving obstacles on the beautiful roads, spawning right in your drift. I drive around a lot, but the fun has lessened. Only thing you need traffic for is for Forzathon points once a week. Please tone it down at least. Killing the fun of a 150 mph drift chain around the whole map.

We have traffic outside of the game, that is why driving is less fun there. In online, other players are our traffic.

yay traffic jams another fail

Not a fail at all you stop in the middle of the road like an idiot in real life traffic builds up and I personally think they should add more it makes it more fun trying to race through and drift through the traffic instead of going to these (IMO) far too easy drift zones with traffic you drive through and makes speed zones more of a challenge instead of buying everything for a super car and just flying through them. If you don’t like it to be more realistic and want to stick to arcade go play ridge racer or need for speed.

Yep happy now:joy::rofl:

I could probably deal with the traffic if there wasn’t so much severe understeer? Tried the best rated setups with a lot of cars but its absolutely brutal. Otherwise i like the handling physics ffb etc. [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]. Researched and tried every solution i could find…Maybe its the Emuwheel software setup i am using but i think its most likely forza…Forza horizon 3 had even worse understeer. I needed Emuwheel as my ffb is non existent otherwise. I use sim steering, no assits, unbeat…Etc. [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]. Yet there are dudes who have no troubles and carve like ninjas!!

Try my Chrysler E49 Charger. If you think it understeers then its something to do with your setup.

In my view understeer remaining equates to poor tunes.

guessing you have never driven a real 6pack charger lol

offline was fine for the challenges this is yet another step backwards my thing is danger signs an speed traps which ai traffic does not ghost for.
whiners that wanted more traffic clearly did not play FH3 p.utting this game on games pass was a huge mistake

Ha, I fell in love with Forza Motorsport after the Demo in late 2004… And whiners are players, who complain about traffic in an open world racer. If you do not like open world racers, go play FM7 and get the hell out of here. Driving through Edinburgh without traffic, how ridiculous…
If you smash in traffic during free roam, you can allways rewind… But this might be to hard to understand for toxic whiners like you. Like I said, Forza Horizon might be the wrong game for you. Play FM7 or Assetto Corsa, Project cars etc…

It’s like playing RDR2 without NPCs, who might attack an kill you… GTAV without traffic. Super Mario Bros. without obstacles and enemies…

I’m glad, that PG is listening to the majority of their playerbase and not the very loud minority…

to be fair, if a daily challenge stated you needed so many awesome near misses and the streets were entirely empty of traffic, how is a person supposed to do that? lets not forget that every other player in the session is merely a visual representation and isnt actually there, you cant hit them or get any effect from driving near them.

Impossible daily challenge is awesome how?

Not to mention while some people loved to smash fields or drift around roundabouts for hours I like the thrill and challenge of powering down the highway at full speed scoring ultimate near misses for my skill chains. I do remember getting a 4 million point skillchain in horizon 3 doing just that.

The only issues people had (at least I had) in earlier horizons was when trying to do a drift zone or a speed zone and having idiot npc cars camping the apex of every single corner ever and cars now ghost in those. The outright deletion of npc traffic was unnecessary from the outset
