Why do the dev’s keep adding cars that no one wants, but yet cars that people actually want get ignored? Its absolutely maddening that they will add that stupid limo, but not a Ram TRX, or 58 Plymouth Fury. I mean, there’s at least a thousand other cars that people would actually want, so the devs add the cadillac limo? Absolutely out of touch with the fanbase. I guess they don’t care.
Not a fan of the limo but it was actually a requested and popular car
The 2010 Clio is the only car that I cant find any justification for. Has the same upgrades of the other Clio.
The limousine Caddy is unique.
Plymouth Fury have a fan base of Mopar gearheads.
Ram TRX is a great addition as an alternative to the Raptor. If added I hope they make it more agile than the heavy-duty Power Wagon.
They added the Limo?- That car was a blast in FH4.
Fast enough and long enough to block an entire road so nobody can pass in races…
Yippee . . . ![]()
Limousine is one of the most loved oddballs in the community since it was added on FM6.
Try a search on Youtube to give it a try. It will quickly prove that many people have been enjoying this car.
I didn’t say it was a bad car. It’s very good.
But in FH4- it was also used as a blocker for other racers when you had 2 players joined up . . .
I want more new to forza cars of course. But leaving that hardly unique demand aside, it’s a good update. You delight one guy, the other guy gets hacked off and vice versa. I’m happy enough.
That being said, they do this thing of grouping approximately the same category of cars together and releasing them in one shot. We’ve several Renaults incoming and we had several wooden hearses during the last update. I’m not unhappy with those cars but could they not be spread out a bit better?
I like the limo. I made a NASCAResque paint job for it in the game it first appeared. I think some of the fan base might be out of touch with the fact that they’re not the only part of the fan base.
A800 dirt the thing was epic fun. I doubted at first. Won a lot of races
The limousine is good, wholesome fun. I don’t want that to change. Now if they can give us the Astro and the Pontiac Aztek, we would be in business.
But seriously, why do they not add the up-and-coming cars? Because of licensing. I have said it before, many, MANY times that 99% of the reason why certain production cars can’t be added such as the Infiniti Q60S for example, is because of licensing. Not because of ‘no interest’ or some other conspiracy theory.
Look I’ve admitted the dripfeeding is particularly excessive and I do acknowledge they should be added to the Autoshow in the future. But the reason we’ve been getting them, is because well, various reasons. The physics need to be reworked is one reason. Sometimes licensing has new situations that would be otherwise difficult. I can understand renewing licenses for niche brands like ATS or a long-defunct brand like Plymouth, for the most part. But cutting off certain cars from popular manufacturers seems a bit awkward.
I’m happy about the limo, but I’m not happy that it’s another FH4 car that should already be in FH5 from launch. A car that was basically ‘cut out’ just to be added later on as ‘new’ content.
I was disappointed it was taken out (seemingly just to be gated). I liked watching that drift dudes clips. That car immediately makes me think of that player wherever I see it. That’s cool when a car does that.
Unless you work for PGG/T10/MS and have direct knowledge of their licensing planning & negotiation phases, you are just GUESSING like the rest of us. Your 99% is just a number you pulled out of thin air. It’s okay to speculate but please phrase it as such instead of pretending you have actual facts at hand.
I do think it’s safe to say that both licensing and withheld content are at work though. As for the ratio… Yeah that’s a wild guess.
It wouldn’t shock me if the majority was licensing, but I also wouldn’t be overly surprised if withheld content was the primary reason.
There is also issues with the pipeline to convert models over to the new physics and features to consider as a third reason.
But yeah, this is all speculation.
In response to the thread itself, I don’t really like to comment on the choices of cars too much. It’s a bit arrogant to assume your choices align with others, or that your preferences are the only ones being ignored. However, I will say something on occasion when a month is too one track or a pick in a similar category makes obviously way more sense. Like last month with the woodies: I’m glad they were added to the game but not all at once over other choices. Or the upcoming Renaults: we already have two very similar cars in the game, especially to the 2010 Clio, but the Clio V6, a very unique and exciting hatchback, was left off?
Jeez I even spoke out against that one month that was basically all Porsche even though I’m a massive Porsche fan and some of my favourite cars were in the update. Nice update for me, but looking at it as objectively as possible yeah they should have mixed it up a bit.
At this point, yes the TRX is a Must have. Why the heck have they not added this? I have the raptor R, 2017 raptor, the old raptor, the saleen raptor, Chevy got two trucks, it’s been out for a while and you’re adding a truck that hasn’t even been out for as long as TRX!
its a small team. with most of pgg working on fable game with a racing engine… a rpg game using a racing engine.
The devlopment of Fable has minimal impact on anything related to the Horizon games, if at all. When it was being decided that PGG would be devloping Fable, they bought out an existing development house purely for the devlopment of Fable…so PGG now have 2 development houses, one for FH and one for Fable. They also hired 177 people (or at least advertised it) for the devlopment of Fable…and, if you navigate to the PGG website, you will note they are in 2 locations.
The only overlap I would expect would maybe be FH staff helping with Forzatech stuff but I’d expect more of that from T10 given they developed it.
the dev team for fh5 some how release a game worst state in fh4 then…
common issue never get fix now. some how online part has gotten worst.
so it seems like i said before more of the ppg team is all hands on deck with fable.
why use a racing engine thru… that just stupid idea for a rpg game.
They need to add more dodge vehicles like the trx and srt-10 ram and ram 3500 6.7 cummins dually and the srt-4 neon and the dakota r/t 2nd gen and the ram ss/t 2nd gen and charger and challenger scat packs and r/ts and demon 170 and chrysler 300 old and new body styles and the sn95 mustang gt and cobra and the sn95 new edge gt and terminator and the chevy ss camaro and chevy 3500 6.6 duramax and the drag pack challenger and also cobrajet mustang if were speaking to have an awesome game not just bull **** cars real players dont want like alpine a110 or hyundai veloster there not even cool or a limo who plays a racing game to get a limo and more modifiable engine setups would be great like better turbo options on the diesels like triple turbos those trucks should be make 3000 hp not just 1400 kinda doesnt make it fun when there slow and you only have one to pick from
The Alpine cars are both very good, the Veloster is a super car. Plenty of people are going to like those cars, they are not male cow faeces. Wild stab in the dark here - you live on the other side of the Pond, right?
