Everytime when new or returning cars are added at least one of them is placed ircorrectly on thumbnail. They are too big, too small or placed too much on the left side. For example: After upgrading every extreme e car thumbnail is changed to wrong placement. Same goes for ferrari 488 corse clienti and mustang mach e. I don’t know why, but this wasn’t a problem in any previous forza game.

They indeed messed it up for a lot of newly added cars.
In Ferrari SF90’s case, they messed up the first time. Thumbnail is on the left side from the start. They seemingly corrected it recently, until you’ve put some upgrade parts in it and the thumbnail is back to the left side again.

The #88 Mustang RTR is wonky too. As soon as you modify it, it moves to the corner and becomes super small

Because even if it’s inconsistent, there’s still 20 million casual gamers that will still buy it and don’t care that it’s a complete joke. All they care about is money at this point. Not their fans.

This is also why this is the last title I’ll ever preorder the most expensive edition of the game, and I’ve been doing this since the first Horizon and Motorsport 3. As a matter of fact, any game for that matter.

The thumbnail on my 1955 MB 300 SLR in the Creative tab or Auto Show is just horribly different compared with the actual livery.
I think FH4 is/was more polished/finished than this version.

funny, I was going to make a post about this too for a while now, on a large 4k tv the poor quality and misalignment of the car pics really stands out.
There is really nothing they can do for consistent thumbnail quality and having the pic centered/scaled properly?

Reviews can’t always be trusted though these days. IGN gave Horizon 5 a 10 out of 10 with the reviewer being a racing genre veteran, yet Horizon 5 is easily the worst Horizon thus far, at least in my opinion, and the game was actually in a worse state at launch than it is now.
