UI - Some Car Thumbnails in Garage disappear after applying upgrades

Platform: Xbox One S
Build: 2.624.534.0

Last Updated: 8th of November 2023

Bit of a weird one that I first noticed appearing on the 16th of November. It didn’t appear before then so I thought it might disappear after a restart but it’s still affecting me today. Some cars I tuned last week are still missing their thumbnails as well as some new cars I tune.

This doesn’t apply to all my cars though and seems to be a bit inconsistent.

Today I tuned the new Lucid Air and the Thumbnail disappeared but I also tuned a Halo Warthog, 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS and a Penhall Cholla and they were completely unaffected. Last week I tuned the Mercedes AMG-One and 2016 Cadillac CTS-V and those were affected but the Lexus LC500 was unaffected (both when applying the Widebody during the upgrading and then when upgrading everything except the bodykit).

I thought it might be related to doing a Cosmetic Upgrade like Rims or Bodykits so I tried just applying a Race Differential to my 2016 Cadillac CTS-V and the Thumbnail disappeared anyways.

Changing cars doesn’t fix the affected cars and neither does changing the upgrades on them. Reverting to stock didn’t work last week but admittedly I haven’t tried it today.

It seems to mainly affect the Garage Interface itself and I didn’t notice it happening when selecting Cars from my garage to Auction or to enter a Race with. If it starts appearing there too then I will update this Bug Report.

I first noticed it last week with the AMG-One when I was testing the various Rims for my other Bug Report

I then changed my Car and that didn’t fix the missing thumbnail

I then tested if it was related to the Rims so I applied a Race Differential to my CTS-V and the thumbnail also disappeared.

Then today when it appeared after upgrading my Lucid Air

It occured to me once after the last update - in connection with the auction house and a HotWheels Pontiac Firebird Trans AM Custom (and not anywhere else).

It was not reappearing by itself after restart etc. as @KillerSpectre21 already described it. The thumbnail only came back after I restored the Default Paint / Vinyls in the Designs and Paints menu - but since then it stayed.

Playing on XSX.
