Which PC settings affect vinyl / livery quality?

The vinyls I place on my Unimog are really low-res and pixelated, but I can’t figure out which PC settings would increase their quality.

One of them is the same vinyl I used in FH4 which looked fine there, but in FH5 it’s like the vinyl is at Ultra Low quality and looks awful.

I have the same problem

There isnt any option in the graphic options to improve the vinyl quality, since they are vinyls, and not textures.

And i dont think that antialiasing, since its MSAA (and its horrible as all we know) would do anything to aliviate that.

But again, i dont see any pixelated vinyls on my cars, unless i strecht them so much that they look awful for obvious reasons.

So must be something in your end. But hard to say what exactly. Did you check that it happens in all cars? maybe is something about specific cars…

There is a setting to fix the vinyls, I just don’t know which one it is.

If you have a decent video card, the easiest way to approach this is to set the “Extreme” preset, and then work individual settings down until the framerate is acceptable. I left World Car Level of Detail at extreme, and backed off most of the others, but still have the higher resolution textures. It makes a big difference. If your video card has less than 8GB of VRAM, it is possible that it won’t allow the high resolution textures at all, since this is something that is going to consume memory resources more than anything else.

Do you realize that he is talking about vinyls and liveries quality and not about performance or anything of the sort?

And wtf you talking about? 8GB VRAM?? dude, 6GB is way more than enough!!! lmao. Even on extreme settings lol. Please stop saying nonsense if you dont really know what you talking about!!
Vinyls should look perfectly fine on ULTRA and even lower settings. It has nothing to do with videocard memory, or extreme settings.

The only thing i agree with you is that, the way of finding a fix would be to start tweaking graphic options just in case something is messing up the liveries and vinyls. Thats all.

There is a setting for the vinyls

i heve the same problem, done some testing, rebooting my game like 30 times to test some configs

its this parameter (sorry for the french screenshot)
