I know some of you will say they’re there open your ears, but all I’m asking is why they’re so quiet?
They’ve turned up the sound of superchargers (barely) and gave us the most obnoxious antilag I’ve ever heard but when it comes to turbos you can’t hear no spooling (which is all you hear with anything higher than a standard turbo) even with a racing turbo . And what’s with the generic BOV noises. Barely audible but the same for nearly every car. I think they should have some sort of choice of BOV sound when you upgrade the turbo and how loud you want the spool sound.(or at least increase the spool sound with each type of turbo (sport =low spool sound, racing high spool noise) I know I’m only talking about something small but it makes a huge difference to the experience, or is that just me.
They’re there. They’re just very hard to hear because of other speaker setup and accessibility screen reader mode bugs in play. For example, I have to restart the game every time I change cars because dolby atmos gets broken in the process. When I restart everything sounds nice 'n 3D as it should. I can hear spool, BOV, you name it. It’s all there.
All that said, the sounds could be a good bit louder still even after I roll my game restart workaround. PGG’s audio team subscribes a bit too much to the loudness war style of audio engineering. They need to knock it off. Fast.
Speaking of exhaust sounds, I miss fh4’s.
Id rather not have obnoxiously loud turbo flutters like motorfest and other Arcady games, that’s just my preference tho, I find I enjoy the turbo noise/spools for not being overly loud and overpowering unless I upgrade to the max turbo option.
If you look to the side or back you can hear it alot better. I also belive its alot louder in bonet view, but on the other hand you barley hear the antilag pops from the back in bonet view.
Need for Speed does this so much better. It might not be super realistic but they sure know how to entertain!
I never hear the antilag from bonet view, or not even close to the sound from when im using chase cam but i have 5.1 sound so maybe thats why ?
