so … we know the Multiplayer Events for the next week and they are AGAIN Short Race Length. Next week will be Open X Class… as a SHORT Event. What the Heck?? Where are the Long Events? We only had Short or Medium Length Events.
Or am i the Only one who just hates to do 30min Practice for a 5 min Race and then not even need to Pit for new Tires? I cant be alone with that. I rather do a 5min Practice Run and 30min Race!
Would love to see long/medium/short races in different tabs but all with the same race modes. FM7 stuck you to GT cars if you wanted long races.
When I set up free play I usually do a 30min race at least. If there was a lobby with 10min combined practice/qualifying and a 25-30 minute race with a few rotating hoppers so it’s not just GT, I’d be pretty happy.
If there were massive weekly/monthly feature races I’d be in for that too.
So disappointing seeing Le Mans come up with 2 only laps.
Races are a joke in it’s current state.
30 minutes of training for a 5-10 minute race is nothing but a joke.
You can build your own MP and invite your friends.
This works very well and offers a lot of settings.
You can even build a MP and post details of the race in this Community and invite player to race together.
Don’t always cry. Sometimes it helps to do some things yourself.
I would, but there’s no way to fill a lobby with friends who all must be available at that exact time. I work full time and have two kids, I don’t have time to work the forums and set up a “private league”.
And there’s no option to add AI cars to fill the grid, so there’s that.
We don’t cry. We point out inexcusable flaws and lies by T10.
Yeah! I dont have 22 Friends to fill a lobby and especially not on my Skill level.
But Turn 10 dont like long Races for some Reason. They removed Goliath from the FH5 Playlist … that was so sad. And we are almost 2 Month in now and not one Single long Race Event. I have the feeling they dont exist.
Most of my friends list either aren’t interested in Forza at all or only like doing burnouts and drifting in Horizon.
If there was a lobby for long races I might have a place to make those friends.
As for the option to select long races in career, you’d actually be able to level your cars at a decent rate so Im guessing that’s why they took that out.

I wouldn’t mind trying to set up longer, themed private lobbies if we can fill a grid.
I keep hoping that the touring cars or gt events will change to long instead of just alternating between short/medium. Would be nice to see if tire strategies are actually relevant in longer races. At the moment in most medium length races the only competitive option is to pit on normally the same lap as every one else and go mediums/mediums. Not much point in having simulated tire wear amd different compounds if there is no strategy to it.
For long races wait a bit longer… 
My biggest gripe about the short races is that after everyone manages to make it through turn one the field is pretty spread out. So it takes a couple laps to get grouped up with people similar in pace. I always find the best racing like half a lap before the finish.
Also these sprints encourage dirty driving because it’s a literal sprint to the front. Nobody has time to wait for someone to make a mistake and hit em with a clean pass. More like, I’m on a mission to the front and you’re in my way anddd I don’t have time, RAM.
Did they fix the lack of tire wear in private multiplayer yet?

The GT class i jist dod a 5 lap race on laguna so not even a pit stop! W GT racing is meant to be longer. I love this game but t10 realy is scoring some own goals at the mo
Would be curious to know how many people actually want the gt event to run the short option. Personally I wouldnt mind seeing the gt hopper alternate between medium and long and the touring cars between medium and short.
Yeah GT Class is such a Joke atm … just 4 Tracks in the Rotation and as a Short Event. Totally kills the Fun of Racing. This week is the worst of all so far.
Events for next week are again Short and Medium. Im now 100% sure there are no Long Events at all! So why call them Short and Medium? Someone at T10 needs to explain this.
The Long preset is available in Private Multiplayer.
Where you have no Tire wear, great. I want them in Featured Multiplayer!
