Wheels - Thrustmaster does not have Force Feedback, only the centering spring works - 3478778

I’m playing on PC with a Thrustmaster T150 wheel and cannot get the game to start with Force Feedback working. The wheel works fine in terms of buttons, paddles and turning the wheel, but there no FFB effects at all.

In the past, I’ve been able to get the FFB to start working by repeatedly re-plugging the wheel into my PC, but with a low success rate. The trick of leaving the Thrustmaster firmware updater open in the background while starting the game used to work most of the time, but no longer does.

It’s been at least a year that I’ve been experiencing this problem. It’s been listed as a Known Issue from time to time, but it’s never been fixed (at least for me). The T150 functions properly in all other racing I games I have (including FH4). I’ll help in any way I can to track this bug down, because it’s really driving me nuts and is a tremendous disincentive to keep playing.

Apologies if I already submitted this some time ago, but I really can’t think of what else to do.

Oh yeah, I hadn’t seen that specific post, but I have tried the solutions described. Some of them did work for a while, but since at least the last Horizon update, the only thing that gets any response is just unplugging and re-plugging in the wheel, and even that only works in 1 out of about 8 tries.

Thanks for the help, though! I appreciate it.

Are you still experiencing this issue after the series 24 update on 8.15.23?

In some cases bugs will not be fixed due to a variety of reasons. The developers have noted this issue as a high risk fix.
