Force feedback effects ? (Thrustmaster TX on XSX)

I made around a dozen of races today with different cars and I noticed that I have no specific force feedback effects.

Whether I’m driving on grass, over a rumble strip (not sure for the exact word, I’m french  ),… the steering wheel doesn’t change its behavior at all. The only effects I have are a somewhat stiff steering and the wheel countersteering if the car starts to skid.

I tried to change some settings but it does nothing in particular. I checked for new drivers for the wheelbase but my base is up to date.

Do you have this behaviour with this wheel or other wheels ?

Thanks

Fanatec csl dd 8nm

Same for me on the Logitech G920 - I hear the audio for running over a kerb, but there’s no FFB for it, sigh.

Same for me with Moza R5 wheel. It’s very hard to drive well without the FFB.

My Fanatec CSL DD 8mn with McLaren v2 wheel works great with FFB on my XSX. you sure your firmware and such is all up to date, and you are in Xbox mode?

I didn’t think the Moza was supported on the Xbox yet:

Has anyone found some good settings for the Thrustmaster?

Same here
Simagic Alpha Mini wheelbase with FX Pro wheel
I’ll have to check again the in-game settings
It’s hard for me to control the car

Yes I checked everything but there’s not a lot of things to check :

  • the XSX is up to date
  • the wheelbase has the latest drivers (v58.06 for the Thrustmaster TX)
  • on the XSX there is no wheel setup anywhere
  • on FM, I don’t have the choice of the device, only “Volant” (I’m in french) to setup the buttons and the advanced settings for the force feedback

The wheelbase is compatible with FM according Thrustmaster : https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/txracingwheel-en/

It would be bad if new FM has the same problems as games I discovered.

  • all due to last os update for xbox just a few days ago

Looking at EA forum for F1 2021 there are loads of problems with Logitech and Thrustmaster.

Look at Technical issues forum here

Hori Dlx FFB is broken for me on F1 2021, WRC 9 and 7

  • same as reported for Logitech
  • wild shaking vibration as you drive
  • report started october 1st, and that was when last update came

Seems like both FFB and vibration goes to vibration rather than to each part for wheel. Something like that.

  • my Hori has an app to do 8 presets with various settings
  • using a setting that says no vibration, all FFB and vibration goes away

Thrustmaster some reported for F1 2021 they could not start game with wheel connected, even.

Use the Report a problem app on Xbox shutdown screen.

  • either racing game you use

I have no issues with Hori with FM7 or DR2 though.

  • I connected my wheel first time after summer yesterday and found this
  • EA forum helped to decide that last update is involved

Kinda unrelated to this topic but has anyone got the Fanatec Handbrake V1.5 working on Xbox. works fine on FM7

Thanks for any help.

Same boat. Car feels decent for driving physics, but absolutely NOTHING out of ffb for curbs / impacts etc

I have a Thrustmaster TX, everything seems to be working fine on my end.

Curbs in-game have a vibration but don’t pull your wheel in any direction. I watched a YT video regarding this a few days ago…which is just a game issue or not programed?

If anything, I’ve noticed a lot of the curbs in-game unsettle the cars, so I try to stay away from them and only drive on the flat ones.

Driving on grass is not too exciting either in regards to effects but they are subtle.

In regards to Thrustmaster drivers, is your firmware upto date?
There was one released a few months ago, that claimed to fix issues in several titles that were not get ffb effects.

I find that the video in the link makes more sense, but at the same time he will explain what each option does.
Because he also drives a car on track, I know he’s less influenced by other so called SIMS, but compares it to real life feeling

Yeah, i have a Thrustmaster and one race everything seems fine. Then next race I’ll have no force feedback. Very frustrating, has anyone found any fixes?

Using a Logitech G920 on Xbox Series X
It -feels- like the only time I have accurate FFB is when the car is driving on the paved track surface. Curbing, sand, gravel, grass, etc, do not -feel- like they have any effect on the wheel feedback.

For Instance, at race pace, driving over a curb (any track, any car, I haven’t noticed specific combinations being better or worse than others) I can -hear- the tire smacking over the surface of the curb, I can -see- the vehicle’s trajectory being affected by the action of driving over the curb, but the feeling in the wheel doesn’t communicate that anything has happened.

i have same problems with my THrustmaster TX, only wheel moves, no shocks , car collision, tires slides moves, FM7 , alreday is perfect withe the wheel, FM is a Back to 80’s; and Tjhe firmware is up to date 0.58
Is there anybody else ?
Thanks Guys, Take Care
