You may need a wheel connected to see this setting.

Hmm. It is possible the xbox thinks the drive hub is a controller. I don’t know how they work.

This feels identical to this issue which has persisted since November, primarily for G920 users on PC. Regrettably (and with incredible disappointment) this issue hasn’t been fixed in time for the rally expansion, which will be absolutely unplayable without sub-second accurate force feedback.

thank you I will wait for the update of the drive hub box because before the last FH5 update I had no problem

My steering rotation is currently at 180 and the max it can go is 900. What do I do to fix the issue with that?

900 is the max setting in game? The thrusmaster is an xbox version? I feel like the new update might have bugged the rotation values for different wheels. I’m getting 2520 as my max value. If your max is 900 then it could be different depending on the wheel plugged in.

Edit: actually i can test this theory as i have an old wheelbase i can plug in.

Edit 2: yup. CSL DD 2520, CSL Elite 900. The CSL Elite max rotation is actually 1080. So the ingame max is 900. Why it shows such a high number for the DD I don’t know. But the CSL Elite works as intended, 2.5 rotations lock to lock. So if your wheel is not getting 2.5 lock to lock it must be a bug, maybe specific to Thrustmaster.

Edit 3: ok, the CSL DD/PRO bases are software locked to 2520 max. Now that number makes sense. The game is max 900 or 1080, so the scale is just skewed.

I believe the new rotation setting has the wrong number scale. 2520 gives 3 full rotations lock to lock, confirmed with telemetry. Anybody setting it at 900 or 1080 will get the wrong rotation scale and crazy wheel oscillation. 2520 is actually 1080. 2100 is 900. I am using a Fanatec csl dd with the wheelbase set to “auto”.

Edit: so it seems the max rotation of the CSL DD/PRO is software limited to 2520. Now it makes sense. The game is showing this number in settings but the max rotation output is actually 900 or 1080. So the numbers scale is skewed.

There is no wheel rotation angle option on Xbox. I can see from videos online that it is present on the PC version. However there is no way to change this setting on Xbox and we are stuck with our wheel default. I am using a g920 on my series x which is leaving me at 900 degree rotation which is far to much. This issue was in the fh5 known issues page but it did not make it to this new tracker.

To me it seems you’re subject to a misunderstanding. There is no “rotation angle slider” in the game. To lower the turning input (ratio) you’ve to lower the “Steering Axis Deadzone Outside” instead.

I’d suggest to set said outside deadzone to something between 50 and 60. See if that does fix your problem, please.

FYI, I’m on PC and using a G29 which is basically the brother of yours just for the Playstation. It’s set to 900 degrees via the Logitech-Software and my deadzone is set to 50. I only need to turn my wheel slightly over 90° from center to achive full left or right lock.
