Forza has long been unable to have adjustable offset, yet we see staggered offset on the factory cars and race cars already in the game. Forza Motorsport was touted as being built from the ground up by car enthusiasts for car enthusiasts. If this were the case there would be a deeper customization engine where we could modify the wheel offset on our cars for a more realistic and aggressive stance for our cars. On the flip side of this it would be great to simply have all the race car wheels available to use on any other car in game. Many will argue that there is no performance gain from properly fitted wheels but in reality there is. Much the same as when you fit a custom widebody it widens the cars stance. Many of the in game wheels look hideous on cars because of the fitment. Equal dish front and rear or no dish at all. No concave front or rear either which does change in the real world. This game (Motorsort 8) Could potentially be the most innovative Forza title ever produced if adjustable offset was a thing. In previous titles also you could enlarge the stock wheels on cars if they suited the car better than the aftermarket options did. Wheel “spacers” are not adjustable offset. Yes wheel spacers will provide better fitment but us car guys will just continue to cringe at the fugly wheels with equal to no dish or concave front and rear. There are some seriously cool wheels on the racecars in game with very nice staggered fitment. I looked back on titles such as Midnight Club from the mid 2000’s and even that game had adjustable offset when wheels were widened. If the wheels from racecars were added to the selection of wheels it would be great if they came with the staggered fitment you see when they are on the cars they came off.
Midnight club haven’t heard that game for a while. Was fun while it lasted and lots to customize. I wouldn’t know how to act with deep dish rims and skinny front tires, so many cars and a lot of rims needs different offsets the rims look flat unappealing.
