Wheel Offset

Can they add wheel offset to Horizon 3 please? Every car needs the ability to change offset or even backspacing to push the wheel out of the fender. Now it doesn’t have to be insane but adding offset to the game would set it apart. I had bought need for speed just for offset and the game was trash so I returned it. Any way that we can get the game developers to look at this so they can possibly add it?

pushing the wheels outside the fenders would create drag and slow the cars down which in turn would put this game in that same trash as nfs.

No not at all,and nfs is totally different, you cant control the car in nfs and it’s always dark and raining so forza will never be in that category and the drag would be less than .2% they don’t have to add drag and in person you don’t notice a difference… unless you’re saying the wheel completely outside of the fender and that’s not what I explained in the first post I’m talking just enough to push the outer lip an inch outside the fender max… doesn’t have to be insane but offset also helps keep the car planted because it is lower and wider

NFS 2015 treats offset as a visual option along with other ‘stance’ items such as camber, etc. so in that game, a ‘hellaflush’ or stanced out car has no performance penalties.

I’m all for changing offset in Forza considering some cars look ridiculous with the tires tucked right into the fenders like a scared turtle. That being said like real-life, I expect anyone who puts stance ahead of functionality to pay the price in performance - if someone wants to pull a ridiculous stance setup, be prepared to have a car that handles like it is on ice even while on pavement.

I agree wholeheartedly. With all the incredible options and freedom this game offers in building a car, dead simple wheel spacers are nowhere to be found. I would love to have offset options, a lot of cars are just way too tucked at the moment. And think of the potential performance benefit on tight slow courses or drift setups?

Add wheel spacing and steering lock kits and I’ll be one happy camper.

P.S.
It doesn’t have to be all cars. just all normal ones.

The thing is it is very simple to add but I know the Forza company has more than the capability to add it and make it awesome… Plus wheel offset adds performance to drift cars because the wider the wheel track in the front end the more stable it will be when whipping it around corners. In real life offset can help and it can hurt, It would also add to the stance scene in the game and the drift scene tremendously and it would really just set forza apart from every other game

I love the offset idea. I want offset for other reasons, as most of us probably do. Mainly, I want it for drifting, off-roading, and looks. I personally think offset would help with handling in general as well as it looking awesome too. (also I noticed that the deeper the rim, the farther brakes are pushed in)

While those rims should affect offset instead.

Now how do we get the creators to view this so they can think about it

I just want them to push the C7 Z06’s rear wheels to be flush with the fender. They fixed this with the HE version of the car, but it would be nice if they fixed the regular version too.

On topic though, I agree that if you stance your car and all that stuff, it should affect performance.
