Yes the offset does really change if you go from stock springs to race springs. It’s clearly noticeable!
Let’s take the 2012 BMW M5 - with stock springs the wheels sits perfect with a great looking offset.
We can call it offset 15 - but when the race springs is installed - it’s more like offset 40 (it goes the bad looking way)
Okay - after years of complaining we still don’t got the option to adjust offset in the tuning menu - but come on. They could at least let the offset be stock instead of changeing it the wrong way!
Imagine how great all the cars would look if we could adjust offset our self - or AT LEAST have the stock offset when lowering cars!
Photographers would LOVE this I’m sure!
It’s all about the details for us car lovers - isn’t it??
Offset, how ever great it might look, isn’t for looks nor should it be adjusted on 99% of all cars in real life. The chances of ruining not only the handling but also the extra load on the bearings are considerable and should not be done “for fun”. I can see why T10 has never bothered giving us offset-options; there are more negatives/factors to keep in mind than positives.
I have been waiting for turn 10 to add the option to change wheel offset since forza 2.
I know that offset does affect handling in real life, but if turn 10 really mean it to add the option to change wheel offset, they can ignore the effect it causes to the handling.
Forza horizon 2 is an arcade game anyway, it doesn’t need to be 100% realistic.
