What Driver Level are you on in FM6? I’m at level 2,844 (with the help of Mods). I’ve also racked up over 65,000 miles and over 460 hours of driving time in FM6.
BTW, I don’t do multiplayer/leagues. The highest FM6 level I’ve observed on the leaderboards is 4,194 by Zackman F12 (or something like that). I’ve still got a long way to go to catch him LOL
I used to play only career mode until FM6 and leagues arrived-now I play mostly leagues. It took some getting used to the unruly opponents, but in the end you end up nurturing a valuable skillset racing against some really obnoxious players. You should try it !
If anything, I might try the ghosted hoppers/leagues one day. My driving isn’t the cleanest in the world due to my slow reactions (relatively speaking), and sometimes I end up hitting other Drivatar opponents, albeit unintentionally. That being said, I have gradually made fewer and fewer mistakes over time, though I’m still concerned about wreckers in multiplayer I’ve been reading about.
I used to avoid multiplayer in the previous Forza titles for this exact same reason. I also assumed everyone online was using a “wheel” controller, so why bother? After learning that wasn’t the case and just diving in and giving it a shot, turns out I’m not as bad as I thought I was. Do I still occasionally hit people going into the corners because I hit my brakes a fraction of a second too late or the person in front braked more than I expected? Yes. But on the flip side of the coin, that happens to me just as often, so it evens out I guess. If you just go in not expecting to win every race and just give it a shot, it can be fun. It’s also a good exercise in patience and not smashing your controller if you race clean to catch a guy for 2 or 3 laps only to get slammed off the track the second you go for a pass on an apparently “skilled” driver near the front. Haha
Really though, despite the claims of a few insecure kids out there, no one is perfect, so give it a go, be patient and have fun. I’m not perfect, not the fastest driver out there, but I still get good finishes come my way from trying to be patient. If I slam someone going into the corner accidentally I try to catch the name and msg them afterward letting them know it was an accident, and if it won’t cause me to get spun out from behind, back off the gas and let em gather it up at least. You still get some guys that just can’t STAND being passed and get their feelings hurt if you even slightly graze them coming off a corner (incidental racing contact) so be prepared for that. You have good days and bad on there it seems, just like rl.
I would say the OP is a typical Forza driver! Go online it’s fun! I remember my first foray was a disaster, haha, I also remember the buzz of my first podium, then first win. Go for it! Like Formula I only tend to run Leagues these days, yeah you get the odd wally in there, but it is it’s own mini community, you see the same core of GTs popping in all the time.
Oh, btw, I used to run with my sons GT, clocked up to level 300+, now with my own I’m on about 315.
I would need to get Gold first, plus with my skittish internet connection, I would also likely need a better internet as well before attempting multiplayer/leagues. But I am seriously considering it though, but with my tight budget it may be awhile before I can afford it.
Just got to level 300 about two hours ago. Fully agree with Formulas comments when you go into these leagues it will not be perfect racing but you go in for the fun of it. I have seen Formula in the lobby and raced against him. I also enjoy all the different people from so many different countries and I have learned to swear silently LOL…
Hey Pscho, do you actually have the TV per neatly attached to your retinas mate lol…
I spend a decent amount on my Xboxes and in front of the TV, but I’m just around 450 or so, so you must have been born with one attached and your parents forgot to detach it hehehe…
So long as you’re ha[-y and having fun. If you’re not, then it’d be an idea to give it a break mate, for a little while…
