What game mode do you play the most?

So, there are several game modes in Forza Motorsport 6, but what game mode do you play the most and why? (If you play circuit just say what class of circuit) I am a big time tag player, it’s fun trying to dodge all the different guys coming at you and getting chased around (not as fun when some cry baby hits you after you’ve been tagged because he was chasing and either never got you or took him forever to get you), but I have lately had fun in the ABC’s lobby, it’s great to have people that are faster than you passing and passing different cars

Most of the time free play to test out cars. For multiplayer leagues.

Free play, free play, FREE PLAY.

This. Dont go anywhere near MP.

Working through the last of the full Porsche’ Career Mode, and also setting up enduros in Free Play of 30-50 laps, depending on the class and track.

Also use Free Play to check paints out, and “use” any DLd liveries do the painter gets some credits etc.

League racing, tuning and tag

As of late, the ABCS

I like the showcases and autovista.

ABC’s

Racing with multiple classes is a blast! Let’s hope it stays around

I also use Free Play to beef up Affinity a Levels by setting 30-50 papers on Indy, Daytona, Road Atlanta and Bathurst.

Great way to kick up the Affinity levels, and to enjoy the varied terrain.

Private lobbies-> then leagues-> then rivals.

For me league racing, and rivals.

Leagues, particularly when they have a stock spec lobby. Then probably rivals. Starting to enjoy doing the showcase events, better than the stories of motorsport.

Private Lobbies…Rivals. All Monthly challenges. Career if nothing else. Never, ever… MP lobbies…So sad.

Free Play. I practice a lot because I really can’t do well enough in MP to compete. Career is a joke and Rivals would be really fun if the ghost didn’t disappear as soon as you beat it.

Have you tried going through the whole Porsche’ Career Mode yet.?

It’s certainly worth the venture as the cars in the earlier years are a great deal of fun.

I actually did enjoy the Porsche Career mode, but the “place top 3” mechanic is still arbitrary and dumb. I actually do my own version of a career with Free Play. I keep track of “money” I have earned as if it was career mode and subtract money for damage and disqualifications. It forces me to drive better, and doesn’t encourage the “get 1st place at any cost” mentality that has pretty much ruined the Drivatar system entirely.

Sounds like a solid idea mate. Is there any more details to how you’ve organised your Personal Career Mode?

Is it just for the Porsche EP, or for the broader game. This sounds like a great deal of fun, one that will require disipline to be paramount …

If there’s any finer details, let me know.

Perhaps Turn 10 could learn something from it.

It certainly sounds like a better way of playing than the game’s current career mode. The current one is too long for what it offers and as Cerrax says the must finish in the top 3 is ridiculous. I’d be interested in seeing a post on how you have set this up and keep track of everything.

I miss the original FM career mode, even though it could use some improvement it felt better. Though that could just be nostalgia blindness.

I’m rather centermental about Forza 3 actually.

Where the list showed what car could enter what races on what tracks etc.

You then choose where you wanted to race, then pop, you’re in there.

But, on the other hand.

I’m not so offended with the whole “finish in top 3” cater gory that’s current inForza 6.

Yes yes, get the hate out of the way now…m*#%^+=£¥€#*%# … There… Satisfied hehehe.

So, my reason…

Well, after not being on Forza for some time, other than a small time inside Forza 5, I found my skill levels had dropped significantly. While in Forza 5 i could get away with certain things and still move forward in the game, Forza 6 made me have to really “work for the position” with each lap.

I had to relearn the tracks so I could pinch off quicker times and get that 3rd position so that I could move forward.

And it worked!!

I found I could bump up the difficulty levels faster than I had done in previous iterations. I’m now on Unbeatable and enjoying it.

The style of moving forward had a twofold affect. It gave me greater confidence and ability. And secondly, it helped me become a better virtual driver.

It also helped build up my war chest so I could buy more cars, do more upgrades and generally enjoy the Free Spins I got from ranking up each drivers level.

I think that the idea of finishing in the top 3 positions is a good thing, as in reality, you do need to get on that podium to take a place in that race. There could have been a penalty charge for damage on the car, and one for racing infringements such as causing crashes, shunting, going off the track purposefully. Not because of an accident.

That would have added a better level of achievement, as finishing in the top 3, with minimal debt from poor racing and car damage.

But please do list the aspects of how you’ve created your own personal career mode, as I’m sure there’s plenty of ppl out there that would like to take the game further… Please…
