Why is it that during racing the car looks flat and bland, yet on the showroom the color brightens up and it shines? And the color is complete different!
I’m running all on Ultra, 4K and Full Raytracing.
When the car is in Showroom, the highest LOD are shown, but during race it’s not the case. You can mod the game files to alter this behavior, but it will cost you an avg 15-30fps and night races will be extremely dark.
you can watch this video, as it explains well, as to why those showroom details are not seen during gameplay.
Kinda weird they’re not doing that for Photo Mode regardless
This doesnt work anymore, they removed all the code from the files to allow RTGI to work. I cannot fathom why they would do such a thing, but alas they have.
Maybe they add a proper RTGI graphic option on the 1 year anniversary of the game.
you expect too much.
Fact is the dev branch of the game is far more better looking. I think they still have lots of things still in the works, but it’s not made public yet.
The reason for this is that the game’s “normal” colors in the paint menu use only one color without shades or color transitions. In the showroom, the car is illuminated directly from different points, but even there the dullness and plastic effect of the “normal” color palette is clearly visible compared to the “manufacturer colors” of several shades. An example of this:
I talked about this before and everyone better pay attention to this. Choose from the “manufacturer colors”, but not all of them have multiple shades. If you observe, there is a difference in the reflection of the lights, but this is mostly only visible on the field during the game.
Another possibility is the “special colors” option, where you can mix very lifelike bright colors from the “two-tone polished” color, you just have to adjust it. An example of this:
I took these pictures on Xbox Series X, with well-calibrated HDR in the game menu.
Avoid “normal colors” because they are dull and only one color without shades. Use multi-tone manufacturer colors and two-tone polished colors and the visual effect will be MUCH better!
I’m on PC, not XBox. I am using the manufacturer’s color as well.
