What will be the final number of cars, do you think?

As of the end of current season - heading to next Thursday - the total available car number is 751, which I believe to be one less car than the obtainable number in FH4. While there will clearly be more cars added, I’m wondering where we think it all ends. I cannot recall how much time there was between the release of the Zuhl at the end of FH4 and the debut of FH5, but I think it was only a couple of months. I haven’t heard anything about FH6 at all, so maybe we are looking at hundreds of more cars. What is left?

We can expect new series updates upto July if fh6 is tend to be released in september or october '24. Tbh we might get around 15 new free cars n maybe 4 another carpacks!! I can’t say anything about recycled cars.

I have 750 unique cars currently, no duplicates, as of this afternoon.

I know I’m still missing that Camaro Exorcist and the Ford Truck FE you got with the Forza controller purchase, so guess that would make 752??

Anyhow, I’m wagering we’ll see 800+ now, but its quite the garage as of now.

Going off of 4 cars/month at least until the end of support, with Support one year from now, 48 cars, add any potential car packs and extra carryovers over time, 800+ seems likely

What is left? A lot. My personal wishlist is around 700 cars, and that list doesn’t include EVs or daily drivers (because I’m not interested in those). But to answer your question, 800 to maybe 820 is going to be the sweet spot for this game unless support lasts longer than three years.

Well, this aged well
800 Cars have been reached, and we already know 2 extra cars that are coming

I think we could see 850 cars in the game when all is said and done, at most around 900.

I’m thinking around 850-880 for the final list. I don’t think this game is going EOL anytime soon.

The idea that this game could finish with over 800 cars is just insane. Especially for a game that launched with 218 less cars than its predecessor Horizon 4. Crazy.

That’s a bit of an unfair comparison when one had finished it’s live service course and the other was just beginning it.

I don’t like it but that’s the way these games are likely going to continue, I doubt the next game will launch with the amount of cars we have in 5 currently let alone however many it finishes up with.

Unfortunately, the longer it takes to make accurate in-game models, the more I see this practice continuing. Suffice to say, Playground Games have likely never had a problem with their licensing department budget, given how they’re backed by one of the biggest tech conglomerates in the world, and they produce one of if not the best selling exclusive video game title of the conglomerate’s brand. Everything sans the Stellantis brands (which was a legitimate licensing roadblock) was probably held back due to limited resources for new models at launch so that the live service could be padded out. If anything, COVID likely had a more significant impact on Horizon 5’s production than Motorsport 8’s production.

As of right now, the true number of cars in FH5 is 775 cars (minus 24 certain cars, such as the):

Cars that aren't actually cars in Forza Horizon 5
  1. 2018 Apollo Intensa Emozione “Welcome Pack”
  2. 2011 BMW X5 M Forza Edition
  3. 1953 Chevrolet Corvette Forza Edition
  4. 2013 Dodge SRT Viper GTS Anniversary Edition
  5. 1969 Dodge Charger R/T Forza Edition
  6. 2018 Exomotive Exocet Off-Road Forza Edition
  7. 2020 Ford #2069 Ford Bronco R “Welcome Pack”
  8. 1999 Ford Racing Puma Forza Edition
  9. 1994 Ford Supervan 3 Donut Media Edition
  10. 2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Forza Edition

  14. 1971 Meyers Manx Forza Edition
  15. 1965 Mini Cooper S Forza Edition
  16. 1953 Morris Minor 1000 Forza Edition
  17. 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR “Welcome Pack”
  18. 2003 Nissan Fairlady Z Forza Edition
  19. 2016 Pagani Huayra BC “Forza Edition”
  20. 1987 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA Forza Edition

  22. 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Forza Edition
  23. 1998 Toyota Supra RZ “Welcome Pack”

So yeah, we will inevitably get to more than 800 and overtake Motorsport 7. But if it’s anything with jumping over to the eventual FH6, no car should be left behind.
