Thanks to this site that keeps track of forza car lists(Cars List Forza Motorsport 5 | kudosprime.com) I’ve been able to manually crosscheck the total amount of cars between FM5/FH2. Post DLC FM5 has 320 cars, FH2 currently has 280. I’ve also added the 3 cars that were announced at FM6 reveal.
This brings us to a total of 86 cars that aren’t in FM5, and to a total of 406 cars currently fully modelled to currentgen spec as of today. This is of course based on the assumption that none of the cars are removed for some reason come FM6’s release. Also we have to keep in mind that FM6 still has about 4-5 months of development time which should mean more cars on Day 1.
It’s also worth noting that FM usually receives 10 cars monthly while Horizon only receives 6, whether this is because modelling working illumination/windshield wipers takes extra time or the 4 cars are race cars/prototypes that don’t fit into Horizon setting and are held back for FM we don’t know. I’d say it’s not out of reach that FM6 launches with comparable amount of cars to FM3 which had 440 cars at launch.
True, but I do like how the OP used various bits of info to come up with his car count guesstimate. Even if it’s just speculation, I think it’s pretty cool how he came to the conclusion he did.
I think there will be 73 variations in stock car paint and coincidentally that will also be how many people die in the new starwars film but should I start a thread about it ?
Depending on who you read or belive FH2 is either using an updated FM4 engine or a reworked FM5 engine. As its available on the 360 I’d go with the former which would likely mean it isn’t simply a case of picking cars from a combined pool. Quality will always win out over quantity for me so I’m not so bothered about the outright number of cars in FM6 (and there is a distinct possibility that this is being produced on yet another new engine) but rather the quality of the ones they decide to feature. I know some people like hundreds of cars to choose from but in every FM I’ve played I seldom use more than a dozen or so anyway.
I’d be happier if they got rid of the SUVs, vans etc and focused on cars that may conceivably be raced but we already know this isn’t going to happen.
Ahhh, but it was only a skeleton crew aboard when it went down, apart from that its a old wreck so the crew that was aboard died earlier in the return of the jedi. Probably while the rebels were partying with the talking teddy bears.
