So are we CERTAIN there won't be any new exlcusive cars in FH5 from this point forward?

Just wanting to make sure. People on these forums apparently know better than anyone. I’m 894/894 and going to be done until FH6 if that’s the case.

No one knows for certain, though it seems likely with the playlists starting to repeat. But it also wouldn’t surprise me if we get a few more new ones to celebrate the PS5 version launch.

Well, it remains their premier Horizon title until FH6, so I’d be suprised if they don’t send a gift car or three over the next half a year or so to mark various milestones. The PS5 tie up being the big one.

But the usual way of winning fresh cars off the playlist seems to be over.

But you can’t categorically say anything. It’s their game, budget permitting they can do what they want.

That total of 894 is only one typical sized car pack away from 900. Not that I’m asking for more paid DLC, but Horizon 2 got a free pack at the end of its life to celebrate an anniversary. The cars existed in the game already but got tuned (like Forza Editions) and a special green/black/white paint job and were classed as separate models. One was an Aston Martin, one an Audi; I forget the rest.

I think there was some controversy about them though. Were they free in Horizon but not in Motorsport, or vice versa? Or not available to all? I dunno, it was a while ago.

they will milk this game for at least another year, theres no way they are gonna bring it out on ps5 to replace it with fh6

Yeah, I think the PS5 announcement almost guarantees that FH6 is happening later than sooner. It’d be silly to release the current game on a big new platform and then announce the next game’s release a month or two later.

Is it silly? I mean, FH4 was released on steam in march 2021 and FH5 was released for both xbox and steam in november 2021. So this kinda fits the pattern, spring release for FH5 ps5, winter release for FH6.

I’m thinking no, honestly.

Otherwise, I don’t know why they’d be dialing back new content so drastically. By the end of this update, we’ve only gotten three cars over an eight week period, there hasn’t been a new car pack since June of last year, and all of the car packs released post-Gold Edition have already been bundled into their own larger bundle.

They also have no reason to add new content for the PS5 launch because all of the old content is going to be completely brand new to a large set of incoming players. There’s no incentive to make another car pack when they’re going to make tons of more money on existing content being rereleased.

Although it’s more than likely subject to change, now that Grand Theft Auto VI has a vague release date of Fall 2025, no game in any genre is going to want to release before or after that anytime soon.

I am at a point where FH5 has lost its lustre for me.

There comes a time when that horse you flog eventually drops dead.

Dont forget about Horizon Realms though.
When PS5 players get their hands on the game, they will pretty soon notice that they are “late to the party”. This will probably make them hungry for the next game (FH6) rather soon.
This will then lead to big hype thus, big money.
If FH6 is released this year or at least announced, it would start a huge hype in the whole gaming community (exept nintendo).
This would be smart of them.

I’ll be very surprised if FH6 isn’t released this year, GTA6 or not.

I’m just wondering what will happen to all the cars that were released over the past few years by playlist. Are they just going to roll out old playlists? I’d rather not have to do that over again. I just want to be able to pick up this game and play it with all the cars I had on Xbox, or at least able to get them without having to do playlists again over a 2 year plus period. Haha. Hopefully for Xbox players we are able to somehow crossover with our garage. We’ll see.

Every week, the players get to vote on which series will play next. just like in the BSP.
So yes, they are re-playing all the past series at some point.

…don’t sweat it. I joined FH4 at exactly this point we are at now for FH5.
After 1 year, I had every car in that game… all I did was play the solo stuff, and their festival playlists and used BSP I won.

I reckon there’s a reasonable chance we might get a few more cars (eg alongside the PS5 launch and/or FH6 announcement); however, I think that another DLC/Car Pack is unlikely (given that all the existing DLC has now been bundled into the Ultimate Car Pack Collection).
