So I’ve been trying to figure out what all is used to calculate the drift zone scores I already know speed and angle are factors as those are obvious, but in forza 7 there was a 3rd factor which was line and I’m curious as to if that has a play in how much score you get based on how far you are from the driving line. Does anyone know anything solid about it?
That is usually always a mystery but in my experience, keeping to the backside of a turn usually gets me more points, as in right before the rear wheels leave the turns surface (pavement or dirt)
you have it right, speed and angle, the rest is up to you
this is what you need to do to be #1 global RWD
Please stop, you’re trying too hard. You got skill, sure, but this is obnoxious
meeeeeeehhhhhh, jelly? want a kiss? a hug? a feed? you might be hangry?
you would find if you read through my channel just how much I help people with there stuff.
the amount of hours i’ve spent online helping out with setups and people are super happy and appreciate so much.
buuuuuuuuuuuut, then there is people like yourself who cannot stand to see people like me and just switch on the hate, because why? jelly thats why
Why would I be “jelly”, my scores are basically within 1% of yours and not in MR hypercars and not FD cars. You will no doubt not need an explanation that it means “less grip on rear wheels and less steering angle”. Also scores are overrated anyways. Tandem on a judge’s line is where it really counts, so scores mean little to me anyway.
No thank you, no kissing required, and I prefer women, but it’s fine if you didn’t know that. It is also fine if you do not prefer women or if you are a woman, acceptance and tolerance and all is important.
No thank you I’m not hungry.
I do not know what “hangry” means, please elaborate. If it is a combo of hungry and angry then no, not really…
The amount of hours you spent online matters very little and I doubt would impress anybody.
You help people drift, something very feel based, so you can’t really quantify a drift setup as “good” or “bad” everything is based on preference, not actual data. If you go to reddit you’d find out I help people win exclusive cars in PvP seasonals, so I do not see why you’d bring that up other than to justify your behaviour. Besides with all your videos view count below 300 I doubt a lot of people get helped anyways, so I would doubt that claim as much as #1 drifter in the world"
You run around shouting “I’m number one, although you can’t check, please click on the link to my channel, I’ll be sure to thumbnail myself as #1 in the world, if you don’t like this you’re jelly”, You’re basically a human acting as a popup ad of your clickbait titles, showing your link into everybody’s face like an annoying telemarketer (But wait, there isn’t more, if there was, I’d actually subscribe). The question wasn’t “where can I find a self proclaimed DK”, it was “what makes up drift scores”. As I said - it’s obnoxious. And considering this reply of yours (filled with childish insults, really) is the reply you get to criticism of trying too hard (which you are) and becoming obnoxious (which will dissuade people from even viewing these videos), and confirming you actually got skill (which you do), I’d say “get out of youtube”, sometime people might actually not be polite to you, and you need to grow thicker skin. You’d self destruct as soon as actual hate comments would appear, a reply like that from a channel that actually has grown would destroy that channel pretty quickly.
HF/GL, do not act as if adblock was designed with you in mind.
lol, yep 100% jelly bro.
your scores don’t even come close to mine
thing is, i have clipped all mine and with showing proof of RWD at the end of the video
you are comparing the drift zone score at the festival which is one corner hahahhahha (from other thread)
the way i can tell is the same way lots of us have been from many Forza’s ago, by class and type of car, I’ve built every car on the board to confirm this as so have many others.
i replied to you the way i feel and i still wouldn’t change my reply.
hey i’ll promote all i like, i’ve never been one to sit back and be average, show the work and see the results, it’s only people like yourself that try suppress others that do better than them.
hey you say my view count is below 300? lol see you once againare wrong
here is a video with 3.7k views (my channel is almost 20k views total and guess what its only just 3 months old ![]()
here is a quick list of some of my scores, please show me where you are 1% within my scores hahahahahahaaahahahaahahahahahaha

oh and by the way, there isn’t one bad comment on my channel (yet)
it’s just you lol (so far)
at the end of the day, all you’re trying to do is run someone down, subject to your own opinion and unchecked facts.
if you like i’ll break down the score board for you just so you can see how we do it ![]()
and i have the video proof showing (rear wheel drive) on my videos, not just someone who claims they have done this in
RWD like most do and always turns out when i check thier GT that infact they used a AWD car. I’ll check yours when im on next ![]()
Put down your claws ladies, let’s all have fun in this game, rather than argue about who has the bigger ego here.
100% dude, im here to be nice and helpful, just [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]s me when people try suppress you because of their own view or opinion. what one dont like 1000’s of others might
Speed, angle and acceleration. I don’t think positioning on the road is a doctor eg how close u get to the markers it would be handy if they clarified this more ![]()
I would like to know more
acceleration no, it helps get to the increased score multiplier but its not a part of the score
speed and angle is all it is, the speed multiplier caps around 70MPH
no clipping points or road position is awarded
So your revs are no a factor??? What! ![]()
so iv been red lining my cars for nothing?! Well that suckes lol makes completion a bit unfair. I think they should take road positioning and acceleration into account as that means someone that’s takes wide corners beats someone that tucked there corners beautifuly . and who wants to drive like that! I wana be sideways nearly touching the markers for fun up in 9thousand revs in 5th gear lol. So what your saying is someone that averages 70 mph and takes every corner wide wins??? WHY?! So u going in 4th at 70 will beat me in 5th going 100 that’s not right. Drift events go off markers! That’s how it should be! Closer the corner and the more sideways the higher the points ![]()
this is how real drift events take place!.. Plus’s using speed compared to acceleration means crappier cars get more points as they reach there target speed quicker? How does this work! I’m a 600k scorer as it is but I believe these should be a factor! ![]()

![]()
the way it I currently makes it harder to gain points with a higher power car!?
yea man, this is why i have given up on any points drifting, it’s just wack
wider corners will get you more points and maintain speed etc
there is no score board for RWD
its broken as AWD just scores more and leaves RWD no where to be seen
and nah revs me nothing haahhaha
I will concur with what has been said already. You will get more points the wider the turn is vs clipping the inside. The only reason I can see on why this is because you are technically “sliding” more on the outside than on the inside. So, the more sliding, the more point value. If you look at a track on a field, the inside lane starts in the far back while the outside lane is up front, but when you take the distance, they are all the same lengths.
I know speed is a factor, but I am not sure what the actual point cap is. I have taken everything from D class, to S2 class around needle point and sometimes, the slower cars can do, and handle better than some of the faster cars even though they are only doing about 30 MPH up the mountain.
As far as angle, there IS a point where angle will get you more points, but I don’t think max angle gets you any more. It is like at some point it just looks more for style than for points.
Another thing that will separate how many points you will get, not that it is an actual deciding factor will be the controller settings. The least amount of points will be on a controller with normal steering settings. The reason is because the lines will not be completely smooth and the control is lost a little bit when using the sticks. The next would be on a controller using Sim steering. This is not easy to master and I do not even try it. But for those who can actually use this setting, it allows them a bit more control of the wheels and allows for smoother lines. And of course, the best would be on a racing wheel. This gives total control of the steering of the vehicle and helps tremendously for drifting and racing of any kind.
For the leaderboards to be truly fair, they need to filter all types of vehicles and controller settings. This would mean filter between front, rear, and all wheel drive as well as controller and wheel settings. A controller will be 99% behind the curve of a steering wheel, with the 1% being the users who mostly use Sim steering with a controller (and I only know of like 2 who actually do use this with a controller).
With that being said, I have not been a points drifter truly since FM6 before they messed with online settings since I use to run around the drifting lobbies all the time. With the Horizon series, I just try to have fun with drifting and make tunes that are easy to slide around and actually help people learn to control their cars a bit better and learn how to drift. I have done several streams on both Horizon 3 and 4 to just drift around and if people want to learn, take them somewhere and show them the basics with an easy to use car. As of lately, I just try to make cheap drifters and even have people ask me to make certain builds, like the Manx buggy which was fun.
