What driving assists do you use?

I use traction control and the “normal” steering option.

Edit: Forgot to say that I use manual gear shift without clutch.

Only assist i use is Automatic.

I refuse to clutch with a controller. Other than that, no assists.

Edit: I hadn’t considered certain things assists. So, full disclosure: braking line only, normal steering, no damage.

Auto, TC on anything RWD over 1000hp, and ABS.

Normal steering only.

Simulation steering, ABS on, traction and stability control off and automatic shifting.

Sim steering, ABS on, TCS and STM off, driving line off, no damage, and automatic transmission

I have Gandalf ride shotgun. When the AI go into turbo-rubber-band mode, he leans out the window and shouts “YOOO SHALL NOT PASS!!!” at them.

Works every time.

Everything off except normal steering and no clutch.

Only assist I use is Cosmetic Damage, everything else is off.

All assists off. In fact I have decreased traction, decreased stability, unpredictable steering, manual shift with dog clutch and removed brake pads altogether.

No assists, sim steering and clutch. Not because l want to be 1337 but it just makes the driving experience richer.
It’s very fun for instance to kick in the clutch when you ride into a puddle.

All assists off including no driving line. I don’t have simulation damage on anymore since the game forces you dlto drive off-road and do crazy jumps that destroy your car though.

Oh yeah l have damage off as well. I finally accepted a few hundred levels in it doesn’t really fit this game. It becomes a chore to turn off for every online, rivals or offroad event so l just forfeit the +5%

AWD
automatic when racing, when I’m just cruising its manual…sometimes with clutch. It depends if I’m in drift mode or not. I won’t race with manual and definitely won’t race with manual and clutch without a wheel, it makes my hand/fingers hurt and I feel like I’m playing an instrument. Another thing is I always forget to shift in reverse and end up using much more time if I crash, and honestly I’m not trying to prove anything to anyone.

driving line, I can drive and do well without it but I sometimes I space out for various reasons and it helps get me back on track so I prefer it.

Cosmetic damage

RWD
Traction control…at some point id like to race instead of chasing my own tail so I use traction control.
There are times depending on the vehicle and how much of a beast it is that I use stability, but thats rare.

Other than that everything is the same as AWD.

Depends on how bad my carpal tunnel is acting up on a given day. Preferably auto trans and ABS is it though.

Only normal steering & manual without clutch. Perfect with pad

Sim steer no abs, tcs or stability. Man without clutch because, c’mon, ain’t no body got time pho daht. No damage because I like the cars to stay pretty, braking line

Forza Motorsport: All off except Normal Steering
Forza Horizon: All off except Normal Steering and No Damage

Horizon (especially some of the cross country tracks in FH3) is pretty brutal on the cars, so I turn damage off just because the races become tedious with all the accidental damage that occurs.

Like some others have mentioned, I really like the challenge of driving with most assists off. Its also why i stay away from anything above A class. I am not a good enough driver to handle those without some assists.

Ai on unbeatable, No tcs, no stm, manual w/clutch, I switch between normal and sim, depending on the car, braking line only, damage off, because it’s not worth the headache in this game plus no fill/repair stations, so what’s the point of damage. This game I play for kicks, unlike motorsport which I take a bit more serious, as there is more to do in horizon than focus on lap times.
