Japan or any other country with left hand traffic is not very likely in a game from USA, I certainly do not want to drive on the wrong side of the road.
I donât think Tokyo is a huge fit for Horizon. I donât want it to turn into a Fast and Furious-like playground. The tryhards would be like âOMG vtec kicked in yoâ or something similar to âriceâ. If you want stuff like that, play Need For Speed.
As much as I agree with you, I think you should explain why - and no ââ I donât like itâ'.
What you described makes sense and responds to what people are asking. However, the land doesnât seem original, with a desertic road as well as boring surroundings. But, especially - who wants to drive in Russia?
Forza Horizon is a massive Festival taking place in majestic regions; how is Tokyo wonderful for a car festival like Forza Horizon? People donât seem to realise that.
I think, âoriginalityâ shouldnât be a point to consider a possible location, in which the next Horizon could take place. Or else we would never drive again in the USA, because itâs overused and instead meet countries like Bolivia (The Camino del Muerte makes excellent for intense races in my opinion) or India.
Though Iâve to admit, that as an European, I was really happy to see Europe as the place for Horizon 2 and not the USA - again.
Left Hand traffic would be interesting - Midnight Club proved that it works and yes, I enjoyed it and no, I didnât heard complaints about it.
Originality should be considered because it is linked to marketing and who thinks marketing, thinks more customers. Tokyo is a great place for Midnight Club, I agree - but itâs just not the point of Forza Horizon.
Anyways, if Horizon 3 will be released, Playground has already chosen the location and, whatever it is, it will be appealing.
Anyhow, what forces Playground to make another Horizon? They can just do like Black Box (Underground 1 and 2, Most Wanted 2005, CarbonâŚ) and try new things.
I hope it takes place in a neighboring area to the current game. I hope itâs a massive expansion to whatâs there now, adding on to a more, âUltimate Forza Horizonâ world. I donât care if the expansion is a digi-DL or a disc. Add on to whatâs here, make the map more than Monaco and Amalfi. Go into Italy, into the Swiss Alps, thru France, into Spain and PortugalâŚthat could be cool.
When I read the title Japan was the only place that came to mind. It has to be there. The highways, the mountains, the cities and the outlying rural areas makes it perfect. Wonât be as much driving through the woods as FH2, but thatâs not necessarily a bad thing.
Iâm hoping it will continue to be the current scope plus an expanded purview that contains more of Europe and contains cities that encompass circuits that are off the beaten path. What I mean is, yes FM6 is reserved for the worldâs most famous circuits, Le Man and Monza to name a few. But FH3 could contain an expanded map of the current FH2 map and include circuits you can actually travel to and by that I mean, pull up to the circuit gate, get waived in and go for a spin on the circuit, again these can be lesser known circuits but built for speed, of course. When you arrive at these circuits you will have access to a set of F1 type built cars of a historical nature. For example, you could actually drive to IMOLA and drive Ayrton Sennaâs McLaren MP4/4 car. The cars would be limited to the track only and will not be seen as drivatars on the open roads. Paris and London and German would be nice to see in the game and instead of calling it Forza Horizon 3, call it Forza Horizon(s), as the game will contain many vista horizons. Italy, France, Spain, GB, Portugal, etcâŚit will be also cool have Istanbul in the game!!!
Italy would be cool but the Japanese like to drive Porsches. Bimmers, and BenzesâŚnot just JDM âŚthe Nissan R390, Honda NSX-R, Mazda Furai, and Lexus LF-AâŚcan keep up with Ferraris, Lambos, and etcâŚso cut all the ricer comments and BSâŚChrysler was affliated with Mitsubishi, Ford worked with Mazda, even Hyundai Genesis can be souped up to be a 200 mphâŚalso Japan is a legendary domain for international racingâŚthere are several Asian drivers in Formula One and Gran Prix racingâŚgrow up people !
Iâm expecting a return to the US, possibly around the Great Lakes or mountain areas. I donât expect it to be near the coast since thatâs a little too similar to FH2âs setting.
Of course anywhere outside the US would be great to see, but this isnât a wishlist. Forza is Forza, and Forza loves America.
Why not in New Zealand. We have a good amount of cityâs, though they arenât to big which would work for fh3. We have plenty of long highways for hitting top speeds, more mountain roads than can be counted, loads of gravel roads for rally racing, even more step farmland for extreme offroading, and roads with loads of great corners for drifting
There could also be a LOTR expansion pack where you can race around the Shire, hill climb Mount Doom, race across the plains of Rohan. Actually now that I think about this more seriously, this could be friggen awesome!!
Tokyo, Japan would be pretty dope. What they should do is make it where you can drive EVERYWHERE. Like in the USA then fast travel to Europe and then to Asia and Russia, etc. I know it would take a lot of memory for that but I would totally remove games if Forza Horizon 3 took place all over the world
Iâd be up for a far-east setting, whether itâs Japan/Tokyo or more jungle areas like Malaysia/Thailand or something. Either that or mountains with snow tyres and dedicated snow vehicles.
Somewhere with mountains/hills where it snows occasionally as well as raining would be nice. The snow that popped up last christmas on GTA5 really changed the look in a nice way, though Iâm not sure if it affected the handling. I really enjoy the two Horizon games and prefer the temporary track layouts they employ. I wouldnât want visits to real tracks because the Motorsport games cover that. The improvements made with Horizon 2 over the original, especially opening up more of the world, make me confident that wherever they choose to set the game, it will be a must buy. Just hope they select better music thoughâŚ
Japan would be an amazing place for the next Forza Horizon, however, Los Angeles or even Long Island New York would be cool too. Also since Forza is so diverse with vehicle types, I could see something like a Forza World. All different vehicle types, including Semiâs. For example, Pikes peak Freightliner Cascadia, 2000hp, turbo and supercharger, and no game has ever really simulated upgrading trucks and racing and been ridiculous. Forza was the cure for fast and furious in a racing game. All other companies crashed and burned. Wise person once said, âits quality, not quantityâ.
