Forza Horizon 4 = Japan?

It could be possible because Horizon 1 = Colorado=America. Horizon 2= Italy/France=Europe. Horizon 3= Australia… So where is Asia? I think that Horizon 4 should be Asia Japan!

What do you think about it?

It will be really awesome, Japan is the heart of Racing.

I was thinking the same thing! It’ll be the best horizon yet. I’ll pay 100.00 for that ultimate edition but they should have everything included like the expansions. If they do asia I hope the use Tokyo and lots of the city scape as a major part of the map.

One thing id like is to see how froza would do if they took a turn to Dubai for Forza Horizon 4. there is so much opportunity for this game. dubai has the city scape that everyone loves and has an offroad element that forza horizon 3 has already. if it went to japan, where would the off road element be? it would be pointless to bring it in then get rid of it almost immediately. i can see Forza Horizon going to dubai or back to the US but in Texas or Las vegas.

Japan would be the best idea. Racing in the 90’s on windy roads at night in my 1993 Skyline or race in a Toyota Supra around Tokyo. There would be so much and it would fit with the Horizon since Horizon went to America, Europe, Oceania and now Asia and after… maybe South Africa? Anyways… I had a different idea though too. It might seem weird and going back to the past but it’s the idea of going back to Europe and make the whole of the continent (ok maybe not 100% but maybe 75%?). There’s so many different climates and different scenery to see. Also, there are lots of car brands in Europe so if you travelled to Ingolstadt for example then you would be able to get big sales on Audi. The countries I want there to be are (WARNING: Some countries will just have 25% of it’s land in the game for example Norway):

UK
Ireland
Belgium
Netherlands
Lux.
France
Germany
Spain
Portugal
Balkan Countries
Greece
Italy
Turkey
Switzerland
Austria
Denmark
Norway
Sweden
Finland
Slavic Countries
Baltic Countries
Romania
Bulgaria
Moldova

There are deserts in Spain, Beaches in Portugal, Hills in France, Mountains in Switzerland, Lakes and forests in Scandinavia and castles in Germany. There’s so much in Europe that Forza Horizon needs and it might sound time consuming and impossible but it could be cool!

Well we already got France, or at least part of it. I’d like to see the rest of France that was not in Forza Horizon 2. Like a recreation of Paris, the countryside, and everything in between. Having the UK would make perfect sense as well being that the game’s developers are from the UK. I remember hearing in 2015 or so that Forza Horizon 3 was in development and the team had already had Australia on its list, so maybe Playground has a list that they work from.

We could go back to America and have the entire country for the map. Everywhere from New York to L.A.

Can’t argue with that give this man a gold star he should be rewarded

Would be good to have a map with a long and multiple lane highway (like Horizon 2 or 1), Mountain Roads with switch backs that go right up into the clouds and a busy city. The whole US as a map would be great! Horizon 3 has alot of unused space with the roads tending to be straight lines, Im sure alot of us would love to have some switch back roads etc.

mate that would be awesome because colorado map was nonsense and everything was gated off or guardrails were in the way but the whole map of America, that’s a well done idea but they would have to put like the white house, orlando, golden gate bridge, lady liberty and other things like that if you get what i mean.

Well, if Forza Horizon 4 is placed in japan… PG has to bring back touges! I really miss Fujimi Kaido from Forza 3 and 4 :frowning: and it will be a great addition to the game.

I hope it’s not Legoland.

I hope forza horizon 4 will be in South America because we haven’t seen any sort of racing game in places like Brazil or Chile but the thing is, Forza Horizon 4 will be an amazing game for 2018 have a nice day!!!

I think Forza as a franchise needs to focus more attention on Japan, mostly for racing environments. Ever since FM5, this content has almost completely fallen off the radar. We lost some good tracks, namely Suzuka, Motegi, Tsukuba, and Fujimi.

I am, however, undecided about whether or not I would like Japan in FH4. As an open world, it would make for a lively environment with all the cityscapes and mountains, but I believe that would be its biggest downfall in the end. Driving space is extremely limited in Japan. Where you don’t have cities, you have mountains and vice versa. The FH series is always striving to allow more driving freedom and exploration, but unless they are willing to sacrifice some of that here, I’m not so sure PG would see Japan as an ideal location. Imagine FH3 but with only Surfers Paradise and the Rainforest for biomes. There is farmland in Japan, but it is still proportionately small compared to everything else.

Thinking about this reminds me of older racing games that were set in Japan, namely Midnight Club 2 & 3, and one of those TXR games (Import Tuner Challenge on the 360). The latter of those had an impressively accurate rendition of Tokyo’s freeway loops. NFS Carbon, while not in Japan, had Fujimi-esque downhill tracks where one could easily fall down a cliff.

FH set in Japan could be done right if enough content is focused more on road racing than offroad. Street races in a large enough city could be infinitely more exciting by the use of custom checkpoints, much like how Midnight Club or The Crew handled it. Add plenty of elevated freeways and tunnels and you have a Hot Wheels level of excitement and still keep it realistic.

Many features in FH3 would make for an immersive experience if used in a Japanese setting, but I think the one question remains that PG themselves need to answer - Does Japan follow what the FH series sets out to do? I think it does, if they do it right.

They should bring it back to the USA. Europe and the Outback were Okay but no Japan. It’s so frustrating driving on the opposite side of the road especially with the traffic. The Carolinas would be great. Got the mountains, big cities like charlotte and some long stretch roads heading to the coast. Would love to see some cars like the 69-72 torino fastback cobra, the 67-68 XR7 cougar, the 04 mustang saleen convertible. Cars that dominated the tracks and started some to the aero wars. Love to see more muscle car style wheels like the weld rts wheels. Wheels that can be staggered giving deeper rear wheel back space offset. Love the horizon games they are as close to simulation street racing game I feel anybody has gotten to but like to see it go deeper. Like to see them get away from being able to put awd and v10 and v12 into everything. This makes it become more like need for speed games and more Arcadish.

How do you think it feels for those of us who drive on that side of the road anyway, yet are forced to drive on the “incorrect” side of the road in games. Get over it, and learn to deal with it.

Should be Japan

People say Canada or Germany or even California, but we’ve already done the US, Canada’s not really anything new and Germany’s back in Europe. We haven’t had Asia and what’s better than Japan, what makes up a majority of the cars in forza, and is good for the drifting communties as well as racing (remeber the r32 etc.) Colorado focused on the open desert, France/Italy on freedom and a diverse playground and Australia making everything huge and diverse. We need more focus on different driving styles which i think fh3 adressed a little with drift zones, making own class events etc. Japan can encourage drifting, rallying, and just plain speed as well. You can also have a huge range of features in the world eg city, mountains, country which all looks different to western nature/culture. just my thoughts

I think some as amazing asian mountain roads with snow capped mountains would be great, FH3 couldve used more twisty mountain ashphalt roads. Or they could always go back to europe, plenty of different environments their. The road from the Top Gear Romanian special would be brilliant, thats the sort of road i want in an FH game. Of course with similar dirt versions for when i feel like a bit of rally.

As I live in Canada, it would be cool to have a game based here. The mountian roads in the rocky mountains are pretty amazing! Tons of rally style roads. Straight highways. I could see them doing something in BC with Vancouver as their main city. Nice coastal road as well.

However, there are far nicer roads in Europe that we really missed out on. I’d love some switch back mountain roads but without constant guard rails!

ANYTHING is better than the retarded roads that they gave us in Austrailia. There’s even the Bathurst track that they could have integrated in! It’s just tons of straight sections mainly focused on offroad!

Sorry. I got on a little rant there. It’s just sooo boring… and way to polished. What, does Australia pave their roads every week?

Also give ultimate owners the FULL game. Stupid 10 month cars pass that as soon as it expires they start releasing Porshe and other nicer cars. The whole 10 months releasing mediocre cars. Then don’t include the expansion pass!

For FH4 I hope Japan is there but tbh I also hope there are multiple locations. The way you can port to BM or HW in FH3, why can’t we do the same but head back to an improved Aus, Europe or Colarado?
