I feel you man. I’m not a big fan of eliminator and I hate these Playground games.
You may be right about the DLCs, at least it would be cool if they were connected directly to the actual map. But it probably remains a dream.
Yeah and better rewards. I don’t care about these chat texts.
Same for me. Could seperate the creative part
Luckily I got my first Eliminator win in the third attempt an I got another one not much later but I#m not a fan of the mode. I don’t have a real tip, but I think if you play aggressively and challenge a lot of drivers, you have a good chance of getting into the endgame. At least from my experience.
I wrote a guide on how to win eliminator back in the day: How to win Eliminator
It’s funny but despite having completed all but the two ‘bugged’ L8 & L9 car drop accolades, which is discussed elsewhere, I find that playing Eliminator is far more rewarding from a challenge perspective than some other aspects of the game. I’ve nothing more to gain by winning any more Eliminator titles as I have plenty of XP and CRs, but I’m finding myself agreeing with others that most of the weekly challenges are tedious and easy to accomplish. That really only leaves Online Racing, Drifting and Custom races once all the adventures and expeditions have been done. Doing the Arcade games is a bit of a grind to finish off the accolades and some of the accoldaes are controlled by Series releases, so have to wait. At least in Eliminator there is a large element of surprise, either from other players or by sheer luck. Eliminator players can gain expertise in gameplay and their knowledge of the terrain and map quirks.
I find PGG more than boring and quite frustrating with the tasks required, Flag Rush is about the best part of that, but its a pain-in-the-head to have o do many cycles of PGG to get the accolades.
I preferred when they just kept adding title updates with new achievements in FH4, BUT at least Heads Up is not an achivement anymore.
I enjoyed the system for the first month or two, while I was working through the actual content and achievements as well, but I have not played -at all- since finishing the achievements, except to grab car pass cars.
Got to I think 930k in accolades and then rather lost interest in that as well. The creative ones are just not worth the stupid amount of grind required, and are rather odd inclusions for how few people they really apply to. I actually quite liked the very similar system in FH4’s Lego expansion, but would rather it had stayed an expansion thing I think.
Also annoying is the evolving world where some things will only be possible at the time like New Year flavour accolades and likely more since i stopped playing. Motivated more so by achievements as I am, this title has had the least replay value of the franchise, with FH2 having the most, with things like 168 championship wins, 100 playground games, 50 team race wins, and so on, plus very hard bucket list challenges that you also had to do coop for achievements. Those were the days.
Once again, shout-out to the ignore function. It quietly and within reasonable bounds allows us all to be mods.
We can control what we want to read - and what we don’t.
When I use the ignore feature I can select forever not just 12 months.
Did they just add that or has it been the whole time?
All I know it is there as an option.
This is going off topic but I wish there was a downvote button too. I think it would be a great addition to this forum.
You can from later today new tour races including S2 in update 7
