The problem with accolades is some of the accolades eg. Get 1000 likes and uses for your Vinyl might be out of reach for 99.9999 % playerbase. Same goes for tune and livery accolades. These accolades are strictly for star youtubers whose plain vinyl shapes will be liked by their fans and followers. Even if you put a 100% quality livery, only few people download it forget about likes. It’s usually 1 like per 20 downloads.
This same thing was in FH4’s starcard and same stuff has seeped into FH5. Please give accolades which majority can complete not tiny minority.
You could do everything to get the star card yourself by sharing and unsharing stuff. In FH5 you have to be a pro-Forza ‘influencer’ to get everything.
Is there an exclusive prize for completing every accolade? In Horizon 4 the prize for completing everything with the Starcard was the Ford Capri FE. Man I spent hours on sharing / unsharing tunes, paint jobs. just to get it.
If there’s no prize I’ll probably do as many as I can then give up.
There isn’t one for every single accolade. They just added some for the Winter Wonderland stuff. That means they will always be adding, and thats a good thing…more to do.
I’m of two minds when it comes to these sorts of Achievements or Accolades.
On one hand, I see no problem with exclusive Accolades (or even prizes) for things you have to work hard to achieve, and have to be among the best to earn. My issue is the structure in which player’s achievements (lower case A) are recognised or maintained.
Time-bound? Cool, but make it at least annual so if you missed some holiday championship you get a chance to do it again next year. This is a game, not Woodstock. There shouldn’t be “once in a life time” opportunities for awards or experiences.
Liveries/tunes? Fine, but take steps to prevent people gaming the system, or low efforts from being promoted.
Records? Of course, but do something about the cheaters.
Just really hard stuff to do? Cool, but don’t make it require lots of online players so that you can never achieve after the peak of the player-base is long gone.
And of course, how many are exclusive or difficult? Don’t make me pay full price for a game, then not be allowed to enjoy large portions of it just because I can’t commit like a second job.
Forza Horizon does not have (and never has had) a structure that allows for rare/prestigious Achievements or Accolades. If an achievement can’t be gamed, it can be bugged, and support has no way to remediate either (e.g., I never 100% FH3 if the Blizzard Mountain Barn Find doesn’t trigger, and support can’t trigger it for you… and besides, DLC should not be part of 100% the base game, but that’s MS, not Turn10 and a whole different subject).
Unfortunately, more and more games work on FOMO to drive engagement and spending, so you’re going to see more achievements which are driven by social pressure or spending money, not less. If the latest release of a flagship franchise like Halo is anything to go by, FH6 is going to be a shock to many of us.
accolades are just an achievements which i don’t care about or did ever since they were introduced, to hide how short and empty this game really is, fm4 did it right you had like gazillion races to complete to check everything, although they repeated but they created the illusion of having longer gameplay, i think it took me 6 month to do them all with normal pacing, fh5 2 weeks and you are done with everything, pathetic really
I created 334 designs/vinyls/tunes, then I created 3 new profiles and started working on these accolades. 334x3=1002
I spent 6 days, but I got 1000 “DOWNLOADS” and “LIKES” for designs/vinyls/tunes. It wasn’t easy, damn it.
But unfortunately it’s broken for “USE”, I’ve used design/vinyl/tunes 30 times, but I only got 11 for design, 0 for vinyl, and 4 for tune. I have sent a ticket for about this problem, maybe you all should too. The more complaints there are about this problem, the more chances they will fix it, although it’s not a fact, because it’s PG😁
P.S. By the way, if you create a new profile, you will have to play for 1-1.5 hours, you will need a little progress to gain access to the creative center.
