Were the physics changed?

My grip tunes don’t feel as strong as they used to after this last update. I have AWD R34 and R33 Skylines that were grip monsters prior to this update 'n now they lose traction quite a bit more than they used to. Change it back plz.

I’ve noticed that grippy cars drive well but sometimes will randomly drive like they have had their tyres replaced with banana skins during some races. This was from a few updates back.

I thought it was just the weather. The weather is variable even within a few minutes. If you do drifting you will notice changes over ten minutes. If the sun comes out it will actually dry the track, and then it can rain, and dry, and everything inbetween. Even snow isn’t just snow, you can have some snow grippy, and some snow slippy.
What I’m saying is that they’ve put in some sort of randomness factor for the weather even under the same circumstances. I had fog yesterday, I don’t even remember seeing fog before in the game.

Thank god!! I thought I was going crazy!! I took out my RWB drift car for the Forzathon mileage challenge and ended up having to mess with the time for like 15 minutes to get it back to where I had it

Hello everybody. I thought I was crazy, but I also noticed that driving physics was changed. Above all, the braking distance seems to me much longer and the driving behavior in general. I do not say anything about the sanctions due to the wall, but for me online racing is just terrible in contrast to the past. Hopefully all this will be reversed because they are about to break forza 4 in my optinion.

The game has always been like this but I couldn’t get around to what causes it. You can enter the first part of an S-curve without issues and then suddenly the car turns into a brick on a greased road and flies out of the second part of the corner.

Same here; normal roads just seem like ice in races

Hi y’all. Please let the devs know:

I think its a performance issue. I notice that when you’re free roaming its less noticeable (apart from the freezes/pauses), and then when you’re online in a ranked race or co-op race, everything seems, lets say heavier.

It appears the issue is not just with the physics, but the game apparently has a serious math problem in general. While doing the trial last night, I got a little confused when my S1 Lambo Huracan - which normally sticks to the roar like an iron - all of a sudden felt as if it was driving on ice.

Apparently, I wasn’t the only player struggling because we ended up getting our arses handed to us during the trial. That’s when I noticed the second strange thing… The race results…!

Race 1: Drivaturds: 1400 points / Team “I can’t take a corner without ending in up in the scenery”: 1000 points.
Race 2: Drivaturds: 1850 points / Team “Yaddy-yaddy-yadda”: 1800 points
Race 3: Drivaturds: 2400 points / Team “Yaddy-yaddy-yadda”: 800 points

So obviously, at the end of the trial, the conclusion was that Team Drivaturds had LOST all three races and we won… Yaaaaaaaayyyy… ([Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]).

That’s not even the end of it. Earlier this evening, I decided to finish off the “Skill Streak” story. At chapter 6 (the one where you’re goofing around at the train yard in a Ford Fiesta), another math glitch appeared. With a skill multiplier of 5, getting 50,000 SP should be enough to get you the 250,000 total needed for 3 stars on this one. On my first try, I just fell short with only managing to get 47,000 SP. While I was mentally preparing to have another go, the game told me that apparently 47,000 x 5 = 285,000 (???) and awarded me all 3 stars for that chapter.

Anyone else noticed these weird math problems? I came across the occasional glitch where the game got confused and handed you the wrong finishing position at the end of a race, but I’ve never seen it go full retard so frequently like it has been for the past few days.

I haven’t had issues with grip but I noticed that sometimes some Drivatars aren’t sometimes able to finish races. Did some tests and it appears that light rain may trigger that. Though today it happened once again yet this time there wasn’t rain. This happens on both Horizon default and Custom routes. I play on Pro difficulty. More details in open chat topic.

I had two drivatars disappear in front of my eyes which took me from third to first. Offline mode. They were not in the finishing results. Weird. Steering wheel has never felt better. Really nice improvement. Steering is tight and lively with detail and great loss of grip information through the wheel. It is fab for a “non sim”, Driving the Lego Mini with a sim setup is most enjoyable. I had daydreams as a little kid shrinking down and being inside of my various Lego cars and spaceships. Loving it.

You know what, I do notice that cars feel a lil faster and that simulation steering is considerably better. You make good points.
