They are unless he’s running simulation steering. That may explain it. The physics are pretty amazing I find especially when you use the controller rumble to your advantage.
I’d suggest you check in the Tuning section forum here, and come up with one of the recommended tunes for your car. If you learn to work with the game, you’ll find quite satisfying Tunes and realize the game is correct.
If this is unsatisfactory to you, nothing on consoles will work for you. You’ll have to look to PC because all other console racing games like Gran Turismo fall short of Forza Motorsport.
Yet another guy who “just got” the game and after very little time playing decides it’s so bad it’s worth yet another forum thread. it takes a little patience and practice to get to grips with the physics and understanding the basics of tuning is a big help. Keep at it and you’ll start to see how good this game really is.
i think you need to spend a little more time playing the game and you dont say which class car your driving. if your jumping straight into an r class or x class yep safe bet your going to struggle to keep that car in line.
MonarchNF, judging by your Xbox gaming history, you aren’t that much into gaming. So, allow me to explain what is going on: you bought a videogame that costs less than $100. Of course it isn’t going to be “raw and realistic” as it would be when driving an actual car, in the same sense that the guitar you used when playing Guitar Hero wasn’t anything like playing an actual guitar. However, Forza does a damn good job at replicating the driving experience, considering the platform it is offered on.
With that, I fear the concept of gaming entertainment has somehow eluded you.
I use simulation steering with a controller and everything plays just fine. The only explanation is that the OP is expecting too much from a videogame.
I just loaded the game Sunday night and only have maybe 30 races under my belt, BUT…
I found the cars out of the box and the AI upgraded cars a bit hard to drive. Still learning the UI I didn’t really bother to try and tune a car myself, I tried a few “suggested” tunes, not really an improvement. So, I broke down on my second set of races and tuned a little Abarth up to 500 PI for the series and guesstimated the settings based on my old Fm4 days, I did bump a few number in the handling a touch higher based on a quick discussion with a buddy in a party run a few minutes earlier, and the car right out the garage door was immensely better. Only gripe is thebrakes were a bit wonky, but someone says they’re backwards or something?
At any rate, I’d complain about the cars thing, but I do get that they are new cars, even if they ONLY look better, because of a new game engine, that and the fact that it seems I’ve literally spent what feels like hours collecting all my free and DLC cars from the buy menu in game. So more cars now? Nah, that’s ok. Maybe the car selection/buying UI could be improved upon a bit. Why the heck can’t I select a manyfacturer and then look for cars? Holy freakin’ browse session!
All that said, so far, I’m lovin’ it! The paint booth may get some neglect for a bit. Drivin’s fun.
