Welcome to the grind

The wheelspins definitely pay less now, but it’s about a 33% reduction. Not so bad if you were just getting wheelspins from level-ups or anywhere other than the skill trees – but also I’m not really sure why those people needed to have lower payouts?

The super wheelspins also pay about 33% less now – using a trimmed mean to take out a couple of outliers, I think it was about 255K credits in total per super wheelspin before Series 4 (if you count cars at half-value, which is the value you can sell them for instantly if they are a duplicate), and about 170K credits in total per super wheelspin since Series 4 started.

I am mainly just kind of astounded that these needed to be modified 3.5 months after release. The core game mechanics are all borrowed from FH4, and they knew exactly how much the wheelspins were paying out before the update, and they knew exactly how the skill trees were constructed, and they knew how much the cars were being sold for in the auction house. They had all the information to know how players could make money in the game, and they decided to lower the payouts 3.5 months into the game in the name of “rebalancing”? At best, it seems like they didn’t think through the entire reward structure before they released it.

Part of the reason I enjoy the Horizon games is the fact you don’t have to grind to get money and cool cars…If I wanted to spend hours and hours to do that I’d go back to the Motorsport series! I got bored of that so I downloaded FH5. Also, the accolades portion is the grind version on this game, which I’m doing rather well at, bit with limited time to play each day (2 hours is pushing it) I really looked forward to the quick money and cars available with the car mastery set up. Honestly I hope you bring it back because it was the highlight of the game in my opinion. Quite honestly I’m pretty pissed off you took it away. Now I have to spend time I don’t have to earn piddly amounts of money for super high dollar cars which is why I stopped playing the Motorsport series. Another thing is why are the payouts on wheelspins and super wheelspins so low???

If you don’t have VIP the game is beyond a grind, I’d rather they took out wheel spins rather than waste my time with the paltry rewards I was getting last night. Out of a dozen or so spins last night only one was more than 20k, I gave up and went back to FM7 before the night was through.

Same here. With Series 4, I win emotes or a max of 5,000CR 80% of the time. Workaround for me is to save up wheelspins for the next few months. FH4 had the same problem at one point and I saved up around 200 super wheelspins and 300 wheelspins. After the problem was fixed, I started using the wheelspins and cashed in bigtime.

It is very hard to find the right balance, but this certainly aint it. With how rare Super Wheelspins have become, they should remove everything green from the Super Wheelspins, so you get an actual super price.

90% of my Super Wheelspins look like this.

Either they should remove all this game show nonsense and have us earn money through racing, or make wheel spins even more rare, but if you get one, you know its not just a waste of time to open it.

About 66% of the rewards are “Common”, which means that about 29% of the Super Wheelspins will have all “Common” rewards. That’s a lot higher than it was before, but the odds for Legendary haven’t really changed, so they are still worth about 170K CR per SWS on average, over enough super wheelspins. There is more variance in the outcomes now, since they have a lower floor for the worst Super Wheelspin you can get.

Biggest problem is the psychological factor… In beginning of game it shows you wheelspins filled with legendary items and after that you see “green/blue only”.
So yeah its not new and means after owning all the stuff reward drops but it increases the “super wheelspins are not super” feel

Wheelspin should be replaced/removed no idea how they got “E for Everyone” with “slotmachine” in but problem there is ESRB not PGG

Just because it is a slot machine in appearance doesn’t mean it is the same as gambling. You spend nothing for most wheelspins or super wheelspins. If there was any reason not to get a an E rating is the wanton destruction of property and that is minor.

Spend nothing? Its my time (grind, skillpoints,…) and wheelspin is luckbased so its some sort of “simulated gambling”. Btw i’ve paid already with real money for the content! Luck decides then when the content is available… Lots of ppl here saying “was grinding skillpoints to get wheelspins”

Make all the items rewards for racing/progress/skill without the luck/rng element. Something like the weekly playlist championships but without the time element.
Combine it with difficulty if u beat on unbeatable u can get best cars and so on.
It “forces” ppl to race and increases their drivingskills and rewards them for that. And you have fixed targets u know if i’m able to beat them there i’m able to unlock this car.
Bring back some sort of Business for the Money or replace car in events with money later and increase the moneyreward for clean racing.
In same time u have auctionhouse u can use your money to buy cars there. And its already in storys… 3star all and you have the car

Why wheelpins for weekly pr stunts or even for trial? Some ppl get 250k and a legendary car for trial and some ppl for same effort only 52k. Or jumping few meters for pr stunt and ppl have diff reward for same thing.

Or in online racing… Players get same reward doesn’t matter if they crashed whole lobby or completed without hitting someone. Reward them for “good behavior”… I mean it works on dogs  why not in the game

100% agreed.
