Vinyl payout??

Has anyone ever got credits for uses or likes from the vinyl payout? I had 1000s of downloads on FM6, never once got paid for use or likes though. Appears FM7 will be the same.

Although the paints and vinyls aren’t moving as fast yet, I’m still only getting downloads for vinyls while being paid for everything from my designs. I know I’ve downloaded vinyls and liked them, and of course used them.

Should I believe that people are downloading thousands of them and then never using them? Any thoughts are welcomed.

You bring up a good point. I already have several hundred vinyls downloads in FM7, but don’t remember seeing any uses or likes.

So I tested this on your Hennessy logo. Downloaded, liked, and used once in a free play race. Let me know if it registers for you.

Thank you man, I’ll repay the favor. It register the download and the like, no use however. Maybe it has to be used in a particular area like career…

Appreciate the help, nice to know more than I did when I asked the question👍

Edit: I downloaded the American Flag, liked it, and used in a career race. See if you get credit for that…

Checked a few minutes ago, got the download, but no likes or uses.
Good catch. I guess we found something to add the Forza fix list!

EDIT: Downloaded Hennessy again, liked, and used in a career race on Lime Rock.

Funnily enough I’ve been wondering about this since Forza 6, I had Ferrari Ford and Goodyear logos with a couple of hundred downloads and not one usage or like. Now I know why!

UPDATE: Logged out and restarted, Layer Groups Rewards: received 3 downloads, 1 like and 0 uses.

THIS IS NOT THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH VINYL GROUPS…

I can only see the first 7 of them when I search the rest load for eternity.

Search my GT you will see what I mean.

I am use to getting at least 100+ downloads a day. Now I wake up to 3… Friggen 3
This is only known to me to be an Xbox Issue

Its not just an xbox issue,I am on PC and it only shows a few the rest are just loading circles forever.

I have also uses and likes … but the infinite loading is mad . For the Setups its the same … a few get loaded properly but the rest dont show the specs and i cant download them

I get downloads and uses but maybe 1 or two likes…really from over 200 downloads?

You only get the prompt to like after several uses, so it makes sense.

Heh, speaking of vinyls and paints, can you guys check to see if you can see mine? Gamer tag is the same as this one in the forums.

In forza 6, I had 50 downloads across my paints within 2 days of uploading them to the server.

In forza 7 I have 4 downloads. Lol. I’m wondering if this is an indication of not many people playing the game or people not seeing them?

To the OP; I have a grand total of 1 download for vinyls. I did get 100 cr.

I’m not the best painter, that’s for sure but in forza 6 I would have had that paint download achievement already.

I’ve had a bunch of uses and varying number of likes.
I got the “All About the Benjamins” achievement days ago.
(that’s for designs though)

I have the vinyl use message just about every time I log on,that’s multiple times in a 24 hour period.
I’d chalk it up to not having a popular enough vinyl.
(Or they decided to not uses it after they downloaded it)
I believe the payout is directly attached to uses in races, not downloads.

For the infinite loading in vinyl search, just scroll right a page or two then back and they will load. As far as I can remember, it has never shown uses since they got rid of the storefront and started using this system.

Still didn’t register any use, maybe it’s tied to using online. Can understand maybe not getting likes if it’s not a great vinyl, but with hundereds of downloads and zero uses that actually makes sense. I just can’t fathom downloading a vinyl and not using it🤦‍♂️.

I am also noticing hardly any downloads for paints, although I have some every time I log in, with uses almost always, and some likes as well. I had thousands of downloads on 6, not a special painter, just make Lingenfelter and Hennessy and YearOne fantasy designs. Thanks for all the replies and input everyone👍

You’d be surprised how many people download then realize it looks ugly, or they find a better one.

  1. Just so everyone knows, you do not have to wait for the “Like” prompt to appear after 3 uses. You can go directly to “My Layer Groups” and like any downloaded vinyls. Hope this helps.

  2. I also get the extremely slow load screen. On a side note, will there be a storefront? If so, I think downloads, likes, and uses will improve significantly.

  3. @ xBSxChadSpeed - as we discussed, I can confirm 2 downloads, 2 likes, and 2 uses for your Hennessy vinyl, but a strangely enough, it let me like the same vinyl twice. Pretty sure that’s not supposed to happen.
